Official statement from Home Instead CEO Jeff Huber

At Home Instead, the health and safety of our clients, CAREGivers and communities are always our top priority.

Because older adults are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19, we want to reassure our staff and the families we serve that we are monitoring this situation closely and taking precautions to help prevent the spread of this disease.

Home Instead CAREGivers receive specific training on reducing the risk of illness that we continue to revisit and reemphasize with our teams. And just as we always do, we are encouraging our CAREGivers and staff to follow Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) guidance for preventing the spread of illness, the foremost being handwashing, staying home when sick and following precautions when working with clients who are sick.

Beyond providing our network with information and training to protect themselves and their clients, we’re monitoring the health and well-being of individuals who are part of the Home Instead network and we’ll continue to follow direction provided by local health agencies, the CDC and the WHO.

As CEO of Home Instead, our commitment to providing the highest quality care to our clients is our top priority. We’ll continue to remain vigilant and keep our network, clients and families informed as this situation evolves.
