Trenna & Jim Lonon - Owners

Trenna & Jim Lonon, Owners

In February 2005, Jim & Trenna turned a dream into reality when they opened Home Instead Senior Care of Union and Stanly Counties. Jim a retired business professional with Eastman Kodak and Trenna, an RN, with 25 years experience in senior care saw the need in this area and wanted to provide a solution. Since 2005 they have served approximately 2000 clients and have given employment opportunities to around 2500 caregivers and office staff. The Lonon's are active members of Weddington United Methodist Church and they enjoy time with family; especially their 3 granddaughters!

Chris Lonon, Owner

Chris currently lives with his wife Megan in Charlotte. He has been with Home Instead since we opened the doors on Valentine's Day 2005. Chris has a Law Degree from NCCU and prior to 2005 has over 10 years experience managing the business offices of multiple medical practices in the area.

Jill Dry, VP of Marketing & Client Intake

Jill knows the Home Instead mission well, since she was a great Staff Coordinator and On-call Supervisor for almost five years prior to moving up to her current position in 2019. Jill maintains our relationships with RPN's, Manages Client Inquiries, Care Consults, and all things intake related. From Albemarle, Jill loves spending time and traveling with her two children (Lot's of softball and tennis tournaments!). We have been truly blessed for her to be a member of our team.

Kesha Hickson, Director of CAREGiver Services

Kesha manages our CAREGiver Services team and is a scheduling wizard! She works closely with her team to make the perfect service matches! Kesha has worked in local assisted living facilities prior to joining our team in 2016, and is a huge HEAVY METAL music fan. She currently lives in Wingate with her husband, 3 children, and 2 Huskies!

Shana Smith, Director of Client Services

Shana is our Director of Client Services. She does Quality Assurance visits with our Long-Term Care and Private Pay Clients. She has been an LPN for five years and has been working with the geriatric community for over eleven years here in Monroe, NC. Shana has lived in Monroe her entire life and currently resides with her husband, 2 children and a HOST of pets: dog, cat, 2 chinchillas, hedgehog, gecko, and a land tortoise! Whew...

Sherry Territo, Director of Administrative Services

Sherry supervises all of our payroll, VA, Medicaid, CAPS billing, and invoicing. If you need a spreadsheet, Sherry is the one to call! She is originally from Monroe, but came back home in 2016 after 30 years in Texas! She didn't come home alone either: Sherry lives with her husband and 2 dachsunds.

Henry Gordon, Engagement Coordinator

Henry is the newbie on the team, he has been a leader in employee engagement for 19+ years and we are lucky to have him! Henry now brings his capacity in communication and interaction to Home Instead in order to develop lasting relationships with talented CAREGivers , and help them in their journey to provide exceptional and consistent care for our clients. Henry’s family includes his wife and daughter, plus 2  dogs and 1 cat. In his spare time, Henry is a podcaster, music critic, and diy project-maker!

Emily Tyson, Client Services Coordinator/Staff LPN

Emily is an LPN (22 years now!) and does Quality Assurance visits for all of our Veteran clients. She has worked in geriatrics for the past 10 years in both Monroe and the Charlotte area. Emily grew up here in Monroe and now resides in Indian Trail with her fiancé and 4 dogs. She also has 1 son who is married, (no grandkids yet!).

Savannah Wade, Staffing Coordinator

Savannah has been a part of the Home Instead family since May of 2020. She has worked multiple positions with us already (VERY versatile!) and is currently a Staff Coordinator. She came to us with 3 years of staffing experience and is also a CNA (since 2013). Savannah lives with her husband and 2 kids, (a 3 year old & a 1 year old). Obviously, she enjoys spending time with family, (with 2 toddlers she better!!!) and is also an avid reader!

Holly Lamperski, Staffing Coordinator

Holly is the newest member of our Key Player Team and we are so excited she is here! Holly originally started with us as a CAREGiver and has lived in the Monroe area since 1994. She is a Registered Diagnostic Cardiovascular & Vascular Technologist and has 2 Degrees (WOW!) - one in Cardiovascular Technology and the other in Education, both  from UNC-Charlotte, (A perfect mix for the stress and learning needed in the hectic Staffing Dept.!!!!). Outside of work Holly loves to hike, read, and be out in nature.

Kristin Keziah, Admin Asst./Front Desk

Kristin started with us in 2019. She has done admin. asst. work for the past 8 years. She loves growing and learning new skills every day as we pile more and more stuff on her!!!! Kristin lives with her fiancé and 3 beautiful children. She loves the beach AND the mountains so a vacation either way is fine with her! Kristin is an animal lover too: 7 chickens, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a guinea pig. When she gets free time Kristin loves reading and taking long walks.
