Part-Time RN


Home Instead, the world’s leader in home care is looking for a part-time RN. Our RN’s work with our clients and their families to help them stay home and independent as long as possible. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of nursing experience, client assessment skills, and be comfortable with technology.  Job Duties include:

  • Perform assessments of personal care and companion/home helper Clients
  • Facilitate effective communication between Clients, families, and Care Professionals by answering questions related to client care
  • Maintain an up to date record of client care plans and client information
  • Counsel Care Professionals when questions arise about care related to the personal care needs of our clientele
  • Contact family members/emergency contacts with concerns when deemed appropriate
  • Complete paperwork according to state guidelines
  • Assess clients when there is a change in condition, hospitalization, or change in the level of care
  • Conduct Quality Assurance visits with high-level companion/home helper clients

Education/Experience Requirements:

  • Registered Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing
  • Current License by the Virginia Board of Nursing
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable, insured automobile
  • Clinical experience

  • Demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies, and procedures
  • Organize and prioritize daily, monthly and yearly work
  • Establish good working relationships with colleagues, franchise owners, clients, and community
  • Able to present a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Able to operate office equipment
  • Exhibit patience and congeniality
