Michi, aka Michiaelene has been on our team since 2006. She has great perspective on the needs and desires of her clients. Not only has she been a great advocate for them but a wonderful companion who can relate in a special way. Pauline is a caregiver who shows warmth and kindness in everything she does. She used those skills of compassion regularly while caring for her client in a very difficult settings. In her short time with us, Kate has been given the opportunity to be adaptable. With each new challenge that has risen, Kate has done an excellent job at handling each situation with grace and ease and carries a smile on her face wherever she goes. Our team at the Norwell office is so proud of Kate and the wonderful Care Professional that she has become. Tammy - July 2022 Standing Ovation Award
Tammy is receiving a Standing Ovation for her top-notch communication skills, attention to detail and enthusiasm for caregiving. Tammy goes above and beyond notifying not only Key Players, but fellow Care Pros to ensure that clients are given a great experience throughout their shifts.
Messages on the dashboard, consistent phone calls to the office and communication through text and emails are some of the ways that Tammy continues to amaze her co-workers.

Johanna joined the Home Instead Norwell Team in March of 2014, with her wealth of knowledge she can handle any situation thrown her way. Johanna has worked with many clients and has a great sense or humor that keeps them on their toes. She is always willing to adjust her schedule to meet client needs and is a pleasure to work with.

Sara joined the Home Instead Norwell team in December of 2021 with a background in customer service but had some family Caregiving experience as well. She has flourished with her clients since beginning her career journey and has worked very hard to build and maintain those relationships.

Vera has been with Home Instead Norwell since December of 2021. She came to us with prior Caregiving experience and was in the process of starting her Certified Nursing Assistant Training. Vera works a hard full-time overnight schedule and has been a wonderful addition to the team.

Nicole came to Home Instead in November of 2021 with a wide range of Caregiving experience and has a nursing degree. Nicole has so much passion for Caregiving and her clients. She is fun, friendly and out-going and truly makes a positive impact on all of her clients.
Elizabeth Curtis M. (Liz) - 2021 CAREGiver of the Year
Liz has been with Home Instead Norwell since July of 2018. She is a certified Home Health Aide and has been Caregiving for over 30 years. Liz works one of our most difficult cases and puts in many hours of overtime. She is diligent in making sure the job is done correctly and is a great asset to our Caregiver team.
Meriem B. - 2021 CAREGiver of the Year
Meriem came to Home Instead in September of 2019, she holds a Human Resources degree in Algeria and has a background with Caregiving as well. Meriem is a “go getter”, she goes above and beyond for her clients, and there is not a job she will not take. She puts so much kindness and compassion in her day-to-day work, and truly makes a difference for her clients.

Elizabeth has been with Home Instead in Norwell since July of 2016. Elizabeth is retired RN, who provides excellent companion and personal care services to our clients. She is kind, gentle, and has a passion for helping seniors. She is one of a kind, and we are lucky to have her as part of the team.

When you have free time, what do you like to do?
“In my free time (and only in a Covid safe manner) I love to spend time with my family (6 kids and 4 grandchildren). I enjoy reading and also long walks outside. And I can’t wait to be able to travel and enjoy socializing again.”
Where do you see yourself in 3 years?
“In 3 years I hope to still be working in a capacity where I am able to contribute positively to the lives of others everyday.”
How do you like to be recognized for a job well done?
“I most like to be recognized for a job well done by knowing that I’ve made a difference in the lives of my clients, that their day has been brightened by my being with them. I love to hear from my clients or their family that that is the case.”
Alison B. - Q4 2020 CAREGiver of the Quarter
Alison has been with Home Instead since August of 2019. She is an experienced Caregiver, who is very patient kind and loving with her clients. Alison is a great team player.

When you have free time, what do you like to do?
“I love to write poetry and am a participant with a writing group at Ventress Library in Marshfield. I am also re-learning to play the guitar. Spending time with my close friends and family, whether in person or on the phone, is very special to me. Although it is November, I can't wait to get back to swimming in the ocean!”
Where do you see yourself in 3 years?
“I hope to be working with Home Instead. I have developed an interest in how we as a society promote a healthy and meaningful life for people as they age, and I would be pleased if I could do some writing on this topic.”
How do you like to be recognized for a job well done?
“The staff at Home Instead are very specific when giving positive feedback, and it lets me know what they value about my work. Of course, chocolate in any form never hurts!”

When you have free time, what do you like to do?
“I love to read, mostly mysteries and historical fiction or history and science for general readers. I also write short mystery stories and verse. I take Tai Chi lessons and enjoy group hikes (when allowed again). Honestly, most of my free time is spent at home with my husband and two of our three grown sons.”
Where do you see yourself in 3 years?
“In three years I hope my husband will be able to retire and we will travel to places in the USA we've always wanted to see. I also hope to be writing and publishing more fiction. I see myself still working steadily for Home Instead, taking advantage of the flexibility to block out time for my writing and for our travel.”
How do you like to be recognized for a job well done?
“There's a quote from Mark Twain that I love: "The two most important days in life are the day you are born and the day you find out why." I think our "why" is "to make a positive difference every day." The best recognition comes from the people I've helped, whether it's a simple "thank you" on a regular day or seeing and hearing how a suggestion or action of mine has made life easier or better for someone. It's also gratifying to have my efforts noticed by the people in my home and work communities. It gives me more confidence that I am on the right path. Of course, special gestures of appreciation, from cupcakes to bonuses, are always welcome!”

“I am a couch potato. I love to crochet and learn new patterns or I’m in the garden.”

“In 3 years or less, I really would like to hold a steady job in the caregivers field and hold my ground until full retirement.”
