The first one we’ll talk about is the one that got this trend started: Wordle. Wordle great for those in residential assisted living in Sherman Oaks, CA. Wordle is offered for free by the New York Times and it gives players six chances to guess the five-letter word of the day.

With each word guessed, letters that are correct but in the wrong place turn yellow, while any letters that are correct and in the correct place turn green. Letters that are guessed but not used at all in the word are indicated on the keyboard on the screen. This helps you to figure out what the word is that they’re looking for.

The second game is Quordle. It is like Wordle, but instead of just one word, it has four words and four grids to guess. Users get ten chances to get all four words. When the player types in a word, all four grids react with the colors to let the player know which letters are right.

Quordle is not any more difficult than Wordle, but it does take longer to play since it is four words. And the player has an additional challenge as he or she tries to pick words that will help in more than one grid.

The third we’ll talk about is a math version of the same game called Nerdle. With Nerdle, the player has 6 chances to guess a mathematical equation. The system will use colors to indicate if you have numbers and operations symbols correct, as in the first few games.

And then the last one we’ll mention is great for geography geeks: Worldle. Worldle shows the shape of a country, and then the player has six chances to name the country. With each incorrect guess, the system tells the player how far away from the actual country each guess is.

Whichever version of this basic game concept you prefer, games like these can help keep the mind sharp.

And the CAREGivers of Home Instead would be happy to help you or your loved one who is in need of senior companion care near Sherman Oaks, CA to find and play these games.
