Caregiver | Weekday & Weekend Overnight Shift

Find a way to help seniors in your community by becoming a Home Instead Care Professional! At Home Instead, our Care Professionals assist seniors in winding down for the day, help them ambulate through the night if needed, and supervise for safety when working overnight shifts. Your presence will not only help keep seniors safe in their homes, but will provide peace of mind to their family members as well!

No previous experience? No problem. Home Instead trains all Care Professionals on how to provide personal care to clients. Our paid training allows you to succeed in your new role!

In Bloomington, IN, we are searching for compassionate individuals to work weekday & weekend overnights with our senior clients. Overnight shifts begin at 8 PM and end at 8 PM the following morning. Home Instead Care Professionals define their own working availability, so you have the opportunity to set your own schedule! If you're looking for flexibility, this could be the perfect role for you!

No previous experience necessary! All new hires graduate from our New Hire Training Program, and ongoing paid training throughout their time at Home Instead.

Job Requirements:

  • Have a passion for caring for others
  • Enjoy working with seniors
  • Ability to assist clients in their home with activities of daily living
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check, and drug screen
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance

Care Professional Duties:

  • Companionship and transportation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication and appointment reminders
