Job Description

Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout Brevard County. Our CAREGivers have an Opportunity to really make a difference in someone's life. NO EXPERIENCE? NO PROBLEM

Home Instead has a comprehensive onboarding program that delivers - depth and hands - on instruction, providing our CAREGivers all the tools they need, to be prepared and confident to start their clients' home and provide one-on-one care in the residence.

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assistance with activities of daily living: (bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, etc.)
  • Companionship and conversation
  • Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
  • Medication reminders
  • Incidental transportation

Requirements to be a Home Instead CAREGiver:

  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • Have 3 years clean (no violations) driving experience
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Possess a valid driver's license, vehicle, and auto insurance
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to lift at least 25 pounds

We offer a career path as a CAREGiver with Home Instead - CAREGivers must complete our Home Health Orientation. Additional developmental classes are offered throughout the year to enhance your knowledge of senior care and review skills you can use in your everyday role.
We have a variety of shifts available to suit a flexible schedule. Sign-on bonus is based on hours worked and performance with-in the first 90 days.
