Bowling Green June 2021 Client & CAREGiver Spotlight - Harlin H. & Hope H.
Meet Harlin and Hope, Bowling Green’s Client and Professional CAREGiver Spotlight team for June! Harlin was a bricklayer in Indianapolis before moving to Bowling Green. He was married young to his sweetheart, Toni, and they adopted a 4 ½ year old boy named Gill. Mr. Harlin loves to talk to his caregiver, Hope, about his time with Toni and how it was growing up.
Hope says Mr. Harlin will not talk politics or religion with just anyone, but he has opened up to her and she is grateful for that. They have long talks about the Lord and have felt God’s presence with them during their conversations. Hope says God has given her every job she has ever had. She sold insurance before coming to Home Instead and saw an advertisement on her computer for caregiving. She knew God was leading her here. She also knew Mr. Harlin was meant to be her client, when she got her job assignment and realized it was her neighbor, Mr. Harlin!
Hope takes Mr. Harlin to his grandkids homes to visit, or Mr. Harlin will take the golf cart down to the mailbox. When they are not out running around, you may find Hope whipping up Mr. Harlin’s favorite breakfast of fried eggs, sausage, and toast. After dishes, they take the time to just sit and talk, enjoying each other’s company. We are glad God has placed Mr. Harlin and Hope together and we hope they continue “Sharing Their Hearts” for many years to come!
