Bowling Green June 2021 Professional CAREGiver of the Month - Madeline W.
Meet Madeline W., the June Professional CAREGiver of the Month for Bowling Green! Madeline moved to Kentucky from LA County California in 2004 after visiting some friends here and falling in love with the greenery. She has been with Home Instead for 16 years now and was previously a bookkeeper for a university. She knew she wanted to be a caregiver after growing up with her grandparents in the house and helping look after them.
She says God has given her the clients she needs. She has one 94-year-old client, whom she calls her “sunshine”. She enjoys hearing the clients’ stories. She recalls one client who carpooled with lots of other women to a factory in Ohio, to help with WWII efforts.
When she is not helping clients, she enjoys reading Nora Roberts novels and singing in the church choir. She also likes to crochet, knit, and travel. She enjoys the Marvel and Star Wars series. Madeline’s supervisor says, “Maddie is the definition of reliability, communication, and commitment. She is consistently requested to come back by all clients she meets. She embodies every great quality a CAREGiver should have. She is a blessing to our clients and our Keyplayer Team”. We are truly lucky to have Maddie on our team and we hope she continues to grow with our organization for years to come!
