Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate Lead CAREGiver to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.  Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care, and compassion.

In addition to working as a CAREGiver for Seniors, the Lead CAREGiver serves as a coach, and mentor to CAREGivers. LEAD CAREGiver will provide CLIENT support through Quality Assurance. As the face of Home Instead in the community, this team member must demonstrate our core value, Love (v.), in all interactions with internal and external customers and staff: patience, kindness, humility, selflessness, respectfulness, forgiveness, honesty, and commitment.

This is a full time position with a guaranteed 40 hour/week schedule, competitive pay ($13-$15/hr), and benefits.  90% will be filling open caregiving shifts, 10% other responsibilities (ex. Introductions, CAREGiver development, and occasional office support.)

Lead Caregiver Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Ability to deliver care to a wide range of client acuity  - may include Alzheimer's/Dementia, bed bound, Hoyer Lift/Sit to Stands, hospice
  • Willingness to work in homes with smokers and/or pets
  • Demonstrates high accountability and leadership skills
  • Consistently upholds company policy 
  • Demonstrates sound judgement, handles difficult situations in a tactful manner 
  • Teaches/Re-educates and helps develop the skills of CAREGivers.
  • Participates in Quality Assurance activities such as introductions and supervisory visits.
  • Minimum of 2 years caregiving experience
  • High schedule flexibility, including evening and weekend availability
  • Willingness to work in a variety of situations
  • COVID-19 Vaccinated
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance.  Ability to transport clients to appointments & run client errands.
  • Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
  • Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
  • Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
