Home Instead is looking for caring and compassionate CAREGivers to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

We are looking for Come-&-Go Caregivers to work a variety of shifts.
Starting Pay Rate: $15.80 - $17.00 per hour
Live-in Caregiver (per work week/Sunday - Saturday)
3 days or less $205.40 per day, 4 days $229.10 per day, 5 days $244.90 per day

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Running errands
• Assistance with grooming and bathing/shower
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
• Alzheimer’s or Dementia Care

**Home Instead is licensed by the state of Illinois, which requires ALL Employees to be fingerprinted through the Illinois State Police and attend 8 hours of annual training to active working Caregivers. All training provided by Home Instead.**

Requirements to be a CAREGiver:

• At least 21 years of age and have a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• At least 6 months experience working in a Nursing Home or Healthcare Agency environment for adults
• Ability to speak and hear English clearly in person and on the telephone
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to lift 25 lbs: bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and carrying
• Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
• Complete a criminal background check and drug screen
• DMV check
