Do you enjoy home health but are frustrated with the consistency in hours? Have you tried working in a facility but find that you are overworked and overwhelmed? Home Instead may be the perfect answer. If you have large blocks of availability and have the ability to travel to both Milwaukee and Waukesha , we can ensure you will receive full time hours. We will provide you the hands-on training needed before you even begin!
Home Instead has been serving clients in the greater Milwaukee & Waukesha counties for over 20 years. It is part of the largest network of independently owned offices in the world. We have the experience, support, and resources you need to be successful.
If you have open availability and are able to work in both Waukesha and Milwaukee counties, we can consistently get you 40 hours or more per week. To ensure you can consistently get the hours you need, you must have experience in personal care services or be willing to learn all aspects of care (we provide training). CNAs, lapsed CNAs, personal care workers, caregivers, and those with experience caring for a loved one are all encouraged to apply.
Our CAREGivers enjoy flexible scheduling, paid vacation and career advancement within the company. We also offer abundant overtime opportunities, paid training and a great work culture!

As a CAREGiver with Home Instead, you will provide:
*Companionship and conversation
*Stabilization and assistance with walking
*Meals and clean up meal-related items
*Medication and appointment reminders
*Light housekeeping tasks (dusting, vacuuming, making beds, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, etc.)
*Washing and ironing laundry
*Errands
*Accompanying clients to appointments
*Bathing assistance
*Grooming assistance
*Toileting and incontinence care assistance
*Alzheimer's/Dementia Care
Essential Job Requirements:
*Ability to speak and hear English clearly in person and on the telephone
*Ability to read and write English
*Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds
*Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach
*Ability to consistently provide physical assistance to a client (i.e. stand-by assistance while walking, assist client with transfers)
*Complete a criminal background check, DMV check, pre-employment drug screen
*Possess a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance
*Ability to withstand exposure to dust, mold, mildew and cleaning solutions
*Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
*Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations
*Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
