Danny Gutkind, RPh, Owner

Danny is a graduate of Long Island University with a BA in Pharmacy.  He has over 30 years of retail community pharmacy service and experience including previous independent pharmacy ownership.

At a very young age, Danny developed a passion for working in the healthcare industry beginning with one of his first jobs at a local pharmacy in Brooklyn, New York.  However, it was six years ago that this passion guided him to the desire to work with seniors when he and his sister Ann learned that both of their parents had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

It was a very emotional journey for the family and they made the decision they would do whatever necessary to have their parents remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own home.  They quickly learned of the benefits and the necessity of the services of Home Health Care.

Danny begins the next chapter of his life dedicated to the industry that was such a vital part of the final days of his parents lives.  He is dedicated to bringing awareness of the key services and advantages that come with home health care.  Through Home Instead, he is committed to developing strong relationships in the Warren and Hunterdon Counties and continuing the amazing service provided by the team here over the last 22 years.  He looks forward to becoming a part of this community and supporting the local needs of our senior population.

Danny is also a huge animal lover and has been blessed with his rescue dog Chelsea.
June LR 2

June Land, RN, Certified Dementia Practitioner

June was born and raised in New Jersey and the variety of places she has lived in NJ is not the only thing that has diversity in her life. June was a “Candy Striper” when she was in High School and had a strong desire to help people; she even entered a “follow a nurse” program at JFK Hospital in Edison to investigate a career in nursing. Unfortunately, one day while working with a nurse she experiences a troubling situation which involved an elderly woman in distress; she wanted to help people not hurt them and so changed her career direction.

June spent over 20 years working in the Information Technology field. She held multiple positions, as a Data Center Manager, a Programmer, and a Project Management Director. During this time, she traveled throughout the United States providing computer training and support to many aspects of the manufacturing and sales industries. Her passion for wanting to help people continued to tug at her heart strings. She met her soon to be husband during this time, and he supported her in her decision to make a career change. She became an Admissions Representative in the proprietary school industry, where she could provide guidance to people, young and old, who wanted to identify a new career opportunity for themselves. She worked her way up the ladder and became an Eastern Regional Manager. Again, she found herself on the road, traveling the U.S. and moving further away from her passion of wanting to help people. Unfortunately, her Mother-in-law took ill and June left her job to assist in the process of advocating and caring for her. Being in the health care setting, June was faced once again with her strong desire to help people and the idea of nursing came back to the forefront.

At the age of 46, with much support and encouragement from her husband and a couple of insistent nursing instructors, June embarked on a nursing degree. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with an Associate Degree in Science from Warren County Community College and received her Registered Nurse license from the state of New Jersey. While she attended the nursing program she worked as an Aide at Hackettstown Medical Center in the Progress Care Unit, and once she received her nursing license, she became a nurse on that unit. After 3 years in the hospital setting, June went on to spend 4 years as a Hospice nurse, where she was able to help many clients and families find comfort and solace during the very difficult and challenging period of end of life. June loved working with the senior population and wanted to find a way to give back more. During one Holiday season, a friend invited her to “wrap gifts” for “Be a Santa to a Senior/Veteran Program”. That’s when June walked through the doors of Home Instead Senior Care and never looked back! June has found her home in helping seniors “Age in Place” and adding quality to their lives.

June is an integral part of the Home Instead team. She works with the other nurses to provided new assessments and routine reassessments for our client base. June advocates for our clients daily and provides teaching to clients and families to encourage their independents at home. June also works with the other nurses on supervising and training our CAREGivers, to keep them current on home care processes and procedures. She obtained her Certified Dementia Practitioner certification since she’s been with Home Instead to provide even more knowledge to this growing demographic of our aging seniors. June currently resides in Hope, N.J. with her husband and their three “fuzzy” children. She and her husband love their Airedale terriers and never take a vacation or trip without them.

Laura Housman: Client Care Coordinator

Laura Housman, Client Care Coordinator

Laura's cultural roots run deep. Born and raised in New Jersey, she is descended from an American Indian tribe, the Washoe, of the Lake Tahoe region. Her fondest memories are of Grandma Hazel, a strong, spiritual, loving woman who taught Laura how to bake bread and sweet rolls from scratch when Laura and her family visited every summer. Laura's maternal grandparents, Pop-Pop and Mom-Mom came to live with Laura and her family in 1973, forming an inter-generational household. So many generations living under the same roof had its challenges but were seen as growing experiences and precious memories held to this day.

Laura's profound respect and fondness for seniors was rooted in her youth and she is 100% committed to the seniors she serves at Home Instead every day. Laura is a good listener and has developed an understanding of “how" a senior feels about having to accept help at home and is sensitive to their concerns. She manages staffing coordination, Client schedules, and creates the everlasting match between a CAREGiver and their Client. Staffing NAVIGATOR is the perfect description of Laura! She has also achieved certification in the Alzheimer's and Dementia CARE Training Program. Laura is often "On Call" and available to answer any questions or concerns because it's not just a telephone call, it's Personal

Over the years Laura has been an active volunteer delivering Meals-on-Wheels. She serves on the Board of the Washington Borough Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
