Evelyn Baron, Owner
Evelyn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has more than 25 years of experience working with the elderly. Her past positions include: Director of Eldercare Services at Jewish Family Services of Central NJ, Director of Older Adult Services at the Jewish Community Center of Staten Island, and social worker at Maimonides Medical Center. She received her Master of Social Work from Yeshiva University-Wurzweiler School of Social Work in NYC and her Bachelor of Science from SUNY Albany.
As the owner of HOME INSTEAD SENIOR CARE since 1999, Evelyn is proud to have made a difference in the lives of thousands of individuals and their families. HOME INSTEAD SENIOR CARE has given her the opportunity to combine her professional skills, her respect for older people, and her wish to be a successful entrepreneur.
Evelyn lives in Millburn and is the proud mother of 3 young adult children.
Chris Capobiance, Director of Training and Retention
Chris is the former Owner of the Home Instead franchise office in Bergen County, NJ and has nearly 20 years of homecare experience. As current Director of Training and Retention, Chris oversees the recruitment, hiring, and training of all Home Care Professionals. Chris fully recognizes the importance of training and developing of staff to provide the best care.
In addition, Chris is an advisor to the Board of Directors at Homecare Association of America’s New Jersey Chapter and regularly meet with local legislators to advocate for the home care industry and senior community. He is committed to improving the quality of home care for all seniors.
Chris is an avid Mets fan, runner, and loves spending time with his family.
Sarah Joyce, RN, BSN, Director of Nursing
Sarah joined the Home Instead team in April 2021. She has been a nurse for 9 years. She went to nursing school and graduated from Felician College, in Lodi. Most of her career has been in the hospital as an intensive care nurse. Her career path changed when she saw the advertisement for Director of Nursing at Home Instead!
Sarah’s primary responsibilities includes assessing the needs of our clients, developing a plan of care and, training and supervising our Certified Home Health Aides and companions.
Additionally, Sarah is a Certified Dementia Practitioner Trainer. This enables her the opportunity to teach our Care Professionals how to care for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease, and other dementias. . Here is what Sarah says about working at Home Instead, “I have gained a wealth of knowledge from home care and supervising the Certified Home Health Aides and companions. I am extremely energized by becoming a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Trainer. This gives me the opportunity to teach our staff how to care appropriately for individuals with Alzheimer’s Disease and other dementia. We see this unmet, overwhelming need, and we are committed to improving the lives affected by Alzheimer’s Disease and other Dementias, and their family members. With a team approach, at Home Instead, we are developing our Care Pros expertise, to meet the challenges of serving the needs of this growing sector of the older adult community. So far, working at Home Instead has been a wonderful experience and I am excited to see where the future brings us.”
Sarah lives in Morris County, with her husband and 2 children.
Charlene Carter, CHHA, CAREGiver Engagement Coordinator
Charlene has been an office administrator for over 30 years. In addition to her 20 years of experience working in a law firm, Charlene has also managed to fit 10 years of CAREGiving into her schedule, as she is very passionate when it comes to helping others. At HOME INSTEAD SENIOR CARE, Charlene has become a source of compassion and knowledge to CAREGivers and clients alike. Her responsibilities include onboarding new CAREGivers and ongoing supervision for all our CAREGivers. With Charlene’s help, they become the best in their fields, resulting in unmatched service and satisfied clients.
Charlene lives in Essex County. She likes to crochet in her downtime. She makes shawls, clothes for babies, and blankets for her loved ones and anyone in need.
Daniela Martinez, Service Coordinator
Daniela is the Service Coordinator at Home Instead.. Daniela is responsible for providing direct support to clients and caregivers for all their scheduling needs. Daniela Strides to be resourceful and creative while working effectively and efficiently to problem solve and work to understand all her clients needs.
Stephanie Barlow, Geriatric Care Nurse
Stephanie Barlow has been a Geriatric care nurse for nearly 30 years. her background includes: experience in long-term care, assisted living, and dementia care. Stephanie has dedicated her professional career to serving the senior community and striving to assist clients to maintain an independent and safe living enviroment. stephanie is a mother of two teenage children and has been married for 20 years. She resides in Union county, where many of our clients live. Stephanie has a passion for teaching care professionals to become the best CHHA's they can be.
