As a Home Instead caregiver, you can help seniors in your community remain safely in their home while providing the essential personal care assistance, companionship, and social engagement they need.

Immediate caregiver opportunities for All Shifts throughout our service area, including Oakland, Alameda, Albany, Berkeley, Kensington, Emeryville, Castro Valley, El Cerrito, Hayward, Piedmont, Richmond, San Leandro, Can Lorenzo and San Pablo.

Home Instead CAREGivers provide non-medical home care services including companionship and personal care for seniors and special need patients residing in their private residence or in a facility. We are looking for CARING and COMPASSIONATE individuals become a part of our Home Instead family and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community.

As a Home Instead Caregiver, your responsibilities may include:

Companionship
Light housekeeping
Meal Preparation
Medication reminders
Errands
Activities of Daily Living such as dressing, grooming, feeding, incontinence care, and transferring
Specialized care such as Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care

Requirements to be a Caregiver:

Ability to treat and care for seniors and special needs clients with dignity and respect
Available on the weekends
Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance, must be able to drive
Successfully complete the State of California Department of Social Services Home Care Aid Registry requirements, DMV check and drug screen

Compensation:

Starting Wage $15.00 - $17.00 per hour based on experience and level of care provided.
Hourly Wages may be higher based on level of care needed, duration of shift or couples care if applicable
Ongoing Performance Based Evaluations
