Home Instead is looking for a responsible and dedicated Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to become a part of our team and join our mission of enhancing the lives of aging adults throughout our community. Home Instead provides a variety of services to allow seniors to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties would include, but are not limited to:

Setting up medications
Assisting with bathing for clients who are a fall-risk
Checking vital signs
Conducting nurse visits to form a plan of care
Work with long term care insurance
Accompanying clients to doctor's appointments in certain situations
Observe clients for changes in condition including physical and psychological
Report changes in condition to supervisor
For LPNs, filling in as a caregiver in urgent situations is a requirement. Rate for filling in as a caregiver is $20 per hour.

Requirements:

Ability to treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and congenial manner
Complete a criminal background check, DMV check and drug screen
Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance
Valid RN or LPN license in the state of MI

Position would be part-time and on an as-needed basis. Starting rate is $29-36 per hour.
