The annual Home Instead Charities' Give65® giving event closed with significant support for aging adults and the charitable organizations they rely on. Combined with financial incentives provided by Home Instead Charities that inspire people to give, over $1 million will be distributed to help older adults in North America age with dignity and independence.

The aging adult population is the fastest growing population, yet charitable dollars are not keeping pace with this exponential growth. In the United States, less than 2% of grant funding from the largest grant makers is focused on aging organizations.

Home Instead Charities is committed to raising funds and awareness for these critical organizations and the difference their programs and services are making for aging adults.

As part of this commitment, Home Instead Charities in both the US and Canada holds an annual online fundraising event exclusively for charitable organizations serving aging adults. This year’s event raised more than $717,000 for the 134 Give65 partnering organizations. Almost 5,000 donations were made over the 65-hour event.

These funds will be used for meals, transportation, social activities, benefits assistance, safe housing, hospice care, Alzheimer’s support and so much more. Through these programs and services offered by Give65 organizations, aging adults are owning their aging journey and aging on their own terms.

If you weren’t able to give, Home Instead Charities encourages you to save the date for the end-of-year fundraising event on November 29, 2022. On #GivingTuesday, visit Give65.org (U.S.) and Give65.ca (Canada) for a 24-hour giving event

Home Instead Charities will again provide matching grants to encourage people to give on a greater level. With the minimum donation amount set at $10, it provides an opportunity for even more people to be a philanthropist.

We are grateful for your support and belief in our mission to improve the quality of life for underserved aging adults. By working together, we can create a world where the basic needs of every aging adult are met.
