Home Care Benefit 

After a long history in marketing with medical companies, in 1996 Darrell and his wife Susan decided to purchase the local Home Instead franchise. Darrell's success has been chronicled over the years with several industry and franchise awards, but in the midst of such accolades, his top priority has always been giving back to the community. This genuine compassion for the well-being of others is especially evident in the time he and Susan contribute to the local Boys and Girls Club, and the American Heart Association. Today, this franchise includes Home Instead offices in Memphis (TN), Southaven (MS), and Oxford (MS)​​.

Home Instead is personal to me because I have a passion for helping seniors.  Before my mother-in-law and both of my parents passed, I was able to see the impact that home care had on their lives and how it kept them at home where they wanted to be.  I believe that often times a smile and an encouraging word is enough to brighten the day of a senior who is struggling with health or other personal issues. My goal for Home Instead is to be known as the local resource for senior care and I have lofty goals as I help lead a great company into a realm of healthcare changes.

Home Instead is personal to me because one day we will ALL need help aging gracefully. Caring for seniors in the last stage of their life has changed my every day outlook/attitude (teaching me wisdom, grace, fortitude, and time is our most valuable possession) while teaching me the epitome of the Golden Rule! Growing up my oncology nurse mother was my hero! She taught us to have a heart for people and gave us the tools (education/training) to help those who cannot help themselves. My goal for Home Instead is to be known as the agency that provides senior care with excellence (as caring for our own parents and grandparents). The biggest lesson learned over the last ten years in home care – it is a blessing to be a blessing!

Home Instead is personal to me because at an early age I cared for my mother and once I realized God gave me a caring heart and healing hands I knew I wanted to share those gifts with others. It is an honor to take care of seniors and I know a time might come when I will depend on others for the same. I was raised to respect seniors and every day I strive to do that with honor and devotion, and working for Home Instead gives me that opportunity.

Home Instead is personal to me because I always wanted to help disabled and elderly people. I grew up taking care of my grandmother who was disabled and elderly and I saw how it can affect the family also. My position at Home Instead is not hands-on but Administrative work. As an Administrator, I can still make their lives easier by taking care of their home health paperwork to ensure they receive their services as needed. I am willing to be their Administrative Advocate, so they know someone cares about even the smallest details of their home health care.

​Home Instead is personal to me because I have family members that have gone through this type of care and work. I love people and helping them in their time of need as well as getting to work with my team every day as we help seniors in our community. ​I enjoy being able to support and guide families through their home care journey. Being there helping the families in need of care, while also guiding families on the different options we are able to help them with on their journey.

​Home Instead is personal to me because I wake up every day knowing that I have helped someone maintain their independence longer and that I have helped make life more manageable for our clients. It gives me the opportunity to do meaningful work that changes lives, families and our community. Knowing that families depend on us and rely on us to care for their love ones warms my heart knowing we have made a difference for them.

Home Instead is personal to me because we have the opportunity to help our clients and their families through in-home care that enables our clients to maintain more of their independence while remaining in their homes. Our team also guides our caregivers that work every day to make a difference in the lives of the people we care for. You are not only an employee, but Home Instead family.

​Home Instead is personal to me because respecting seniors and giving them the best care is close to my heart. I was able to help care for my mother in the comfort of her own home. I am thankful for being a part of an awesome team that I know provides exceptional and compassionate care for our seniors in our community.

This company embodies my favorite Latin phrase "ad meliorem vitam aliorum " which means " to improve the lives of others." The team here goes above and beyond trying to provide the best support that we can to the people we serve. Coming from a family of caregivers, I am very thankful to be a part of a team that genuinely cares about the communities we serve.

I saw my mom take care of my grandmother when she was sick, and I can only imagine how beneficial it would have been if she knew about Home Instead back then. The mission of Home Instead is so important and it is a blessing to be a part of a company that does such meaningful work.

Home Instead is personal to me because it is a company that makes me feel l am appreciated and that all of our Caregivers and clients are appreciated as well. I have a warm feeling in my heart for Home Instead, like we are all one big happy family.
