1. You'll Be Part of a Tight-knit Team!

Here at Home Instead, we truly care about each person we visit and each one of our CAREGivers. Everyone in the office will get to know you and you will get to know them. We hold fun gatherings for holidays and others as just a way to say Thank You.

We do raffles and contests on Facebook for our CAREGivers. We are here to help and support each other in any way that we can. Working for Home Instead is so much more than just a job, you'll be joining a family!

2. Room to Grow and Advance

We offer additional training in First Aid & CPR, Hospice, Alzheimer's & Dementia, and Bedbound care. We not only do this so that we can cater to each individual family’s needs, but also so that you can grow and learn more advanced types of care. This will broaden the range and number of clients that you are qualified to visit; it will also earn you a raise in pay.

3. Paid Orientation

Once you make the decision to join our team, you will come in for our orientation. You will begin by learning about Home Instead and how our franchise came to be!

You will learn more about what it means to be a professional Home Instead CAREGiver, through training videos and testimonials. You will hear firsthand, just how important your role as a CAREGiver is.

You will be able to see and practice some hands-on training right here in our office!

By the time your paid orientation/training is completed, you may already have scheduled shifts chosen just for you.

4. Professional Environment

We would never send you into a home blind. We will always make sure that you have the training, experience, and qualifications to properly assist any client that you visit.

We will also send you the care plan for the individual needing assistance, making sure that you are comfortable and answering any questions that you may have.

You will always be introduced to a new client. Upon your first visit, someone from our office will meet you at the home to bring you all the things you will need. They will also go over the care plan again (with both you and the client). Our office staff member will make sure that you are properly introduced and comfortable prior to leaving you there to begin your first shift!

5. Work Close to Home

There are many things we ensure prior to pairing a client with a CAREGiver. One of those things are making sure it is close to home. We want to make sure you aren’t having to travel far and we want to make sure that you are familiar with the area you are in.

6. Connecting with Our Older Generation and Giving Back to Those Who Need it Most!

We can’t think of anyone who can share a story of the past as well as a senior! They share good stories, stories of history, happy stories, sad stories, stories about their lives, and of their travels. The relationship you will establish with these individuals will be unique, and in many cases, an everlasting bond. You will carry them in your heart and you in theirs. They will consider you family and hopefully you will too!

7. Flexible Hours

One of the questions we ask you during your interview process is, how many hours you would like to work. We want you to be able to make a schedule that suits your needs and lifestyle. You choose your own days, hours, and time.

8. CAREGiver Appreciation and Recognition

We cannot ever express enough how much we value each and every CAREGiver! We do our best to express gratitude and recognize hard work by:

  • Each month we elect two 'CAREGivers of the Month'
  • We also have a CAREGiver of the Year!
  • We elect two CAREGiver Heroes on Facebook every week.
  • Pay raises every year.
  • We share photos, send out birthday cards, anniversary cards, and a newsletter every couple of months to highlight YOU and all of the things that are going on in the office.
