When our franchise founder retired in 2006, Rob Costello moved from San Diego to take leadership with one major goal in mind: To serve and support the community of Palm Desert, CA while providing excellent in-home care services for adults and seniors.
Today, Home Instead is one of the most trusted and reliable caregiving service providers to seniors in Palm Desert and surrounding areas because we are passionate about our town and the wonderful people who live here!

The Home Instead® Network
Our founders, Paul and Lori Hogan, launched Home Instead in 1994 to provide care to Paul’s 90-year-old grandmother. Remarkably, after she began receiving personalized, in-home care that allowed her to age safely in the place she loved most – the family home – Grandma Manhart thrived for an additional decade!
As Home Instead's first professional caregivers, the Hogans developed deep appreciation and respect for aging adults and those who care for them. That’s why, to us, senior care is personal. We’re passionate about expanding the world’s capacity to care.
