Shery J. - February 2024 Care Professional of the Month
We are pleased to award Care Pro of the Month to Shery Johnson for last month - February 2024!
As a Home Instead veteran of 7 and a half years, Shery has consistently been one of the most well-respected Care Professionals of the Salt Lake City franchise who are skilled in providing compassionate Personal Care, Homemaking and Companionship. Shery’s extraordinary passion for the well-being of her clients, exemplifies the meaning of the Home Instead motto for the Care Pro, which is: Build Trust, Take the Lead, and Share your Heart. Shery’s expertise in helping people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, has helped restore the quality of life for several seniors, while at the same time, providing their family members with extra support and well needed respite. Many families Shery has helped, refer to her as literally part of their own family, which is a gift.

Kaleb A. - January 2024 Care Professional of the Month
We are pleased to award Care Pro of the Month to Kaleb Aycock for January 2024!
Kaleb has proven to be an outstanding Care Pro in a short amount of time. He came to us with a background in helping troubled youth in a group home. He has always enjoyed helping people. One day, Kaleb came to his mom and said, “I’ve applied to a company called Home Instead, what do you think?” His mother, Brande, (who currently also works with our Salt Lake City branch), chuckled, and said, “Well, do you notice something about your mom?” Kaleb took a closer look and saw her standing there in her Home Instead uniform top as Brande stated, “Clearly I’m okay with it!” They get a good laugh about that often. Now, those previous skills of Kaleb’s have translated over into helping seniors and he has been learning and growing into a true Care Professional ever since. Kaleb has matured tremendously, working with the senior community. His love of sports helps him create those bonds with other sports-fans, which is especially great in providing good one-on-one male companionship with his male clients that really need it. Kaleb got training with Home Instead on how to provide a safe transfer using a gait belt and is now fully skilled in helping get taller men safely to their beds and chairs and provides safety while bathing.

Brenda J. - December 2023 Care Professional of the Month
We are pleased to award our final Care Pro of the Month award for year 2023!
Brenda Johnson is our December COM winner. There are not enough words to describe how wonderful Brenda is! She has one of the most pleasant, professional, and positive attitudes we’ve ever seen. No matter what, Brenda will always show up for her clients with her incredible smile and infectious personality, ready to share laughter and joy. Brenda cares deeply for people and seeks to learn what pleases them the most, whether it be putting on a song & dance, or simply sitting and listening. Brenda is skilled in providing personal care and excels at homemaking. She takes the lead and does things consistently for her clients, so they never have to give directions and just trust that it will get done the way they like it every time. She also has the gift of empathy, which makes her a great companion.
