 Home Instead Caregiver

A tradition of great caregiving means that we take care of our own as well as we take care you and your family.

We reward our local CAREGivers with CAREGiver of the Quarter awards to show our appreciation for all they do. Home Instead, Inc. also recognizes regional CAREGivers of the Year and one special CAREGiver who shows exceptional dedication is the recipient of the national award — The Mary Steibel CAREGiverSM of the Year Award.

This program inspires CAREGivers to strive for excellence. It creates a sense of pride and rewards their hard work, compassionate care and service to others.

We are thrilled to introduce our outstanding award winning CAREGivers:

Rachel Cranston

Rachel Cranston

Rachel has been caregiving with us for a year now and never ceases to amaze us with her servant’s heart and willingness to go above and beyond for her clients.  Her willingness to step up, many times in last minute situations, has been incredibly helpful.  She has a true caregiver’s heart!  When asked why she would agree to be a backup caregiver on a Sunday morning, when her own husband is the pastor of their church, her answer was, “Isn’t caring for those in need what going to church is really all about?”  We are thrilled to honor Rachel Cranston as our Fall 2017 CAREGiver of the Quarter!!

Missy Klusmeyer

Missy Klusmeyer

Missy has been caregiving with us since March 2017 and immediately impressed us with her compassionate heart, great communication with the office regarding clients’ needs, willingness to go above and beyond in caring for her clients, and eagerness to fill shifts when needed.  She has a servant’s heart and has been delivering Meals On Wheels for years before becoming a caregiver. One of Missy’s clients said, “Missy is very smart, a quick learner, pays attention to my husband, a good communicator & alert to changes, caring, prompt and always on time.  She’s one of my husband’s best CGs.”

Keyana Mapp

Keyana Mapp

Keyana models the values we look for in a CAREGiver: loyalty, dependability, reliability, good communication; great work ethic and a true compassion for serving others.  She is studying to be a lawyer, but definitely has the heart of a caregiver!  Her clients love her and a couple of client’s family members have said, “She’s always on time, efficient in all she does, solves problems to make things run smoothly and has become a huge part of our family. Keyana is lovely, fantastic, patient, and knows just what is needed.” Keyana was recognized as our Spring 2017 CAREGiver of the Quarter.

Jeanne Boedges

Jeanne Boedges

Jeanne has been caregiving with Home Instead for a year, but has been a caregiver to seniors for much longer than that.  Jeanne is very energetic and has lots of spunk and a go-get-'em attitude!  She has a great rapport with her clients and is a great communicator with the office regarding schedule and client needs.  She is always dependable, reliable and is good for her word!  On top of all that, she is a fabulous cook!  We are excited to name Jeanne as our Autumn CAREGiver of the Quarter 2016.

Jane Messman

Jane Messman

Jane has been caregiving for nearly two decades.  She is one of seven siblings, four of whom are caregivers, so it’s definitely a family trait!  Jane is loved by not only her clients, but also her clients’ families!  She did a storyboard with one of her dementia clients, stepped up to provide hygiene care for a hospice client who was in a facility but not receiving the appropriate personal care by the facility staff, made follow-up calls with a medical equipment company for a client, among other clients that she clicked with immediately. Jane is quick to help us out when we’re in a pinch and is great at communicating with the office regarding changes in her clients and their needs.  Jane was recognized as our Winter 2017 CAREGiver of the Quarter!

Gina Hetlage

Gina Hetlage

Gina has been caregiving for over a year.  She has previous experience working in Demonstration Sales (think Costco samples!), as well as in office settings.

Gina has recently found her niche as a caregiver to seniors, and her heart for providing compassionate care is very obvious, not only to us, but to her clients and their family members as well.  After one of her clients passed away, the daughter-in-law was so impressed with Gina's compassionate care that she wrote a heartfelt thank-you note to our office for matching Gina up with her father-in-law.

Gina is on top of communicating with the office and willingly accepts sub shifts when available.  We are grateful for Gina's heart for seniors, as well as her employee work ethics and are happy to recognize her as our Summer CAREGiver of the Quarter 2016.

Linda Boelter

Linda Boelter

Linda has been with Home Instead Senior Care since September 2015 and was an instant hit with her clients!  She has such a gentle, quiet, warm spirit about her which makes her clients and their families feel very comfortable and genuinely cared for.

Linda has an excellent record for communicating with our office and on numerous occasions has accepted short-notice shifts to help out in a time of need.  The only challenge we have with Linda is that we haven't figured out how to clone her!

Congratulations to Linda Boelter for being recognized as our April 2016 CAREGiver of the Quarter!

Christine Black

Christine Black

Christine has a huge heart and a warm smile for her clients.  She is so easy-going and has a calming effect on those for whom she is caring.  Christine's deep faith motivates her and definitely has a positive impact on her ability to treat others with love and compassion.  She is willing to step in and help whenever and however she can.  Christine began her career as a Home Instead CAREGiver in August 2014 and has proven herself to be steady, reliable and trustworthy.  We are excited to name Christine as our Winter 2016 CAREGiver of the Quarter!

Nancy Skinner

Nancy Skinner

Nancy served with her husband for over 26 years as a missionary in Russia and Finland.  When they moved back to the States, she told her husband that she wanted to find a job serving others.  For this very reason she makes an excellent caregiver to her clients.  Nancy has many times picked up extra shifts for us when we have an emergency shift arise.  Nancy is quick to communicate with us, and is one of the first to sign up for our monthly continuing education trainings as well.  It's an honor to name Nancy as our Summer 2015 Caregiver of the Quarter!

Theresa Dobson

Theresa Dobson

Theresa is always an instant hit with her clients!  She's one of those caregivers whose clients "fight" over who gets her more! Theresa is loved not only by her clients, but by their family members as well. Theresa's heart for seniors is as big as they come.  She has no problem going the extra mile for her clients and has gone above and beyond with working short-notice or overnight shifts as well.

Theresa was our April 2015 Caregiver of the Quarter.

Carolyn Korb

Carolyn Korb

Carolyn's experience with raising a special needs son gives her the compassionate heart necessary in being a CAREGiver to seniors, especially those living with Alzheimer's Disease.

She has so much patience with her clients and is willing to do whatever it takes to make their lives easier.  She goes above and beyond with each of her clients (and their pets!) and lives the Home Instead mission of enhancing their lives. Susie David

Susie David
Susie is a natural when it comes to caregiving!  She has such a selfless heart for taking care of others, always putting her clients' needs above her own.
Every single one of Susie's clients has loved her so much that some have even become a bit "jealous" when they found out she had other clients!
Susie has often worked seven days a week in order to serve each of her clients.  She is quick to accept short-notice shifts and has even been willing to drive farther distances to help a client in need.

Susie was our Caregiver of the Quarter in October 2014.
