Laura was born in Georgia and
her southern roots run deep, but she has spent most of her life in St. Charles
County where she raised her two boys while helping her husband build the
family business. After graduating from University of Missouri - St. Louis
with a degree in Social Work, Laura spent several years as a K-6 counselor,
taught adult education at a local community college, and most recently, worked
to help people with physical disabilities maintain their independence.
She works with the youth group, volunteers on several committees, and leads a
women's Bible study at her church. Laura is very passionate about seniors and their families and serves as Director of Outreach for Home Instead
in St. Charles County, as well as leads educational workshops for seniors and their families in our community.
Carolyn is a native to the St. Louis area. She and her husband of 30 years raised their two sons in St. Charles County. Carolyn has a diverse work history: office manager for a group of orthopedic surgeons; transporter of special needs children and seniors; activities assistant at an Alzheimer's memory care community; and art teacher at a paint-your-own ceramics studio. She began her Home Instead career as a CAREGiver in April 2014 and was even one of our CAREGivers of the Quarter. In 2015, she joined our office staff and is instrumental in training and encouraging our CAREGivers. When not at work, she enjoys cheering on her youngest son in the Special Olympics, gardening, anything artsy, and visiting wineries with her 90+ year old mother.
"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.
