Stephanie Niles, Owner and President

Stephanie Niles, Owner and President
​​Stephanie is President of S&C Senior Care, LLC d/b/a Home Instead Senior Care operating in Victoria.  It is her responsibility to ensure that the company maintains and follows its primary mission which is to provide quality, affordable non-medical in-home care services to seniors.  Stephanie is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of care for all clients by providing a positive, rewarding, and stimulating work environment for CAREGivers.  

Prior to joining Home Instead Senior Care, Stephanie owned her own bookkeeping and small business consulting firm.  She has helped small business owners for over ten years be successful by providing daily operating bookkeeping services, financial consulting and training.  In addition to her corporation, Stephanie has owned and operated a fast food restaurant franchise in the Houston area for the past 4 years.  Stephanie was born in Lubbock, and moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., for 10 years.  She moved back to Texas and went to High School in the Victoria area.  She graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.

Home Instead Senior Care is personal to Stephanie because it allows her to follow her passion of caring for others and making a difference.

Chris Baughman, Owner and Vice President

Chris Baughman, Owner and Vice President ​Chris is Vice-President of S&C Senior Care, LLC d/b/a Home Instead Senior Care operating in Victoria.  It is his responsibility to ensure that the company and all its representatives uphold integrity and quality while providing non-medical care for seniors.  Chris works to instill a common vision within our CAREGivers. That vision is to relieve stress and anxiety from family members, so they can appreciate the aging process their loved one is experiencing and positively embrace these valuable years.  He believes each client deserves the utmost care and compassion, and that it is a privilege to come into your home to provide services for your loved one. 

Chris has owned and operated two dry cleaning facilities in the Richmond area for more than fifteen years.  His passion for training and teaching led him to partner in a successful CrossFit training facility two years ago. Prior to these ventures Chris was a pharmacist who traveled the United States auditing hospital pharmacies and implementing action plans for improving operations. 

Chris was born and raised in Monroe, La., and graduated from University of Louisiana in Monroe with a Bachelor of  Science degree in Pharmacy.  In 2010, Chris initiated a personal quest to climb the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa.  This humbling, spiritual expedition has been the catalyst into his current professional training and leadership activities. 

Home Instead Senior Care is personal to Chris because he is aware of the great need for quality in home senior care.  Having had family members in need of senior care, Chris has witnessed and felt firsthand the struggles a family endures while caring for an aging loved one.  Finding caring, trustworthy, and dependable caregivers can be a difficult task.  Chris has a passion to help seniors maintain a high level of independence and enjoy the ability of being able to stay in their own homes. Using his personal experiences, he has the desire and ability to train and lead people to become quality Caregivers for your loved one.

Jennifer Salinas, Community Sales Representative

Jennifer Salinas, Community Sales Representative

Jennifer Salinas is the community sales representative for Home Instead Senior Care® of Victoria, but she is also a wife, a mother to two college daughters, Merissa and Julia, and a family caregiver for her elderly mother. She also has volunteered for the Ronald McDonald House to serve children and families during the Christmas season.

Having lived in Victoria for the past 10 years, she worked in the oil and gas industry for nine years as a sales representative and account executive before joining Home Instead Senior Care at her office staff position in November 2017. Jennifer's Home Instead responsibilities include generating new clients and referrals, offering consultations, maintaining relationships with clients, working at job and service fairs, providing community service, and marketing franchise services by phone and through emails.

"I believe that assisting seniors in a home environment is the best care. At home, the seniors are in a familiar setting and often are surrounded by family or people who come in, check on them, provide for their needs and offer companionship," Jennifer said. "My mother lives with us, and she is 70.  Mom still drives, and she comes and goes on her own. Her health is good."

Jennifer is a people-person who holds compassion and empathy high among her core values, and she is drawn to serve others. She also is set apart by her positive, optimistic attitude and professionalism. "I don't give up when I come upon a dead end. I just pivot and keep putting my feet forward. I am motivated to focus on people, serve them and remain consistent," she said.

Jennifer has been married for 20 years. Other than her family, her hobby is refinishing furniture and craft work. She is a member of Faith Family Church. "I live each day for God first and family second," Jennifer said.

Emily Sanchez, Staffing Coordinator

Emily Sanchez, Staffing Coordinator

Staffing Coordinator Emily Sanchez loves working for Home Instead Senior Care® of Victoria, a company that keeps seniors in their own homes – where they are most comfortable.  

Emily is like a great passing quarterback who adeptly selects the open receiver on each play. She finds a CAREGiver for each client, an immense undertaking that Emily coolly handles. "I keep track of each CAREGiver, schedule in a timely manner and confirm the schedules," explained Emily, who began working part time for Home Instead Senior Care in August 2017 and moved into her current position in December 2017, where she has been a success.

"I also consult with the community sales representative regarding new clients and their scheduling needs. I answer each call in a friendly, professional and knowledgeable manner," added Emily, who has an associate degree in office technology. Emily communicates client and CAREGiver concerns to owner Stephanie Niles or other staff members, and she maintains client and CAREGiver records. Emily finalizes billing and payroll, and files the clients' charts.

Emily and her husband, who have been together for 20 years, live near Morales, and together they have seven adult children and 11 grandchildren. Emily and her retired hubby are awesomely handy – they are building a Barndominium on their 40-acre ranch. "I love to hunt on our property, go fishing, take care of my cows and do Bible journaling," said Emily, who goes to The Ranch Cowboy Country Church in Edna.  

One of Emily's favorite Bible verses is Jeremiah 29:11, which says: " 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' "

Melissa Stange, Recruitment and Retention Coordinator

Melissa Stange, Recruitment and Retention Coordinator

As the recruitment and retention coordinator for Home Instead Senior Care® of Victoria, it is Melissa's responsibility to provide the proper tools for CAREGivers to successfully manage their jobs, which come with a variety of challenges. As a trainer, Melissa teaches orientation and basic caregiving, as well as the more detailed and advanced ongoing education classes.

Melissa also serves as an encourager. "I try to make sure our CAREGivers know how important they are to us, no matter whether they work in Victoria, the Bay City area, the Columbus area or anywhere between," said Melissa, who was hired at the end of February 2017, and immediately and successfully stepped into the position.

Melissa was born and raised in Victoria, but graduated from high school in Bloomington, about 13 miles southeast of Victoria on State Highway 185. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Houston-Victoria in business administration with a concentration in management.

Melissa has more than 15 years of retail and sales experience. She was the retail store manager for Devereux Gardens in Goliad, Texas; a branch manager trainee for Hertz Local Edition in Victoria; and assistant store manager for Tractor Supply Co. in Victoria.

Melissa added: "I have been married to David Stange Jr., for more than 20 years. We have three daughters, a son-in-law and a granddaughter."
