Joe and Sandy DeLauter opened their Home Instead Senior Care office in 2005 and initially provided service to Union, Snyder, and Northumberland Counties. Recently, they have expanded service to Clinton, Lycoming, Columbia and Montour Counties.
Joe Jr. is our General Manager and an owner. Joe Jr. came to Home Instead Senior Care in 2006 after managing a private country club in Connecticut for the previous ten years. He is a 1996 graduate of Penn State University. He manages and oversees all areas of the business. He helps to ensure that our mission, "to exceed our clients expectations", is provided. He works closely with the entire office staff to oversee the day-to-day needs of our client's and our CAREGivers.
Christine brings over a decade of management experience to the Home Instead Senior Care Recruitment and Retention department. In her position at Home Instead, Christine works with CAREGivers throughout the interview and hiring process. She facilitates our initial and on-going training program that is now considered the gold standard in the caregiver industry. Most importantly, however, Christine builds strong relationships with each of our CAREGivers to ensure everyone is continually engaged and passionate about their work with seniors.
A graduate of Penn State University, Christine worked in the Washington DC metro area in retail management for over a decade. She also worked as a Defense Contractor for Booz Allen and Hamilton where she had Army, Navy and the Coast Guard as clients.
Christine was born in Brooklyn, New York and moved to State College as a teen. She currently lives in Lewisburg with her husband, and General Manager of Home Instead Senior Care, Joe DeLauter, II. In her spare time, Christine enjoys baking her sought-after, hand-iced cutout cookies, spending time with family and supporting Penn State football.
Peggy is likely to be the first phone voice of Home Instead Senior Care. She assists in directing all callers to the appropriate department to allow for the highest quality of service to clients and CAREGivers. Peggy oversees many operational duties of the office and provides support to all departments. Peggy is always meeting those walking through our doors and calling our office with a smiling face and helpful, pleasant personality! Peggy has worked for Home Instead Senior Care for over ten years and enjoys working with everyone.
Maria began her career with Home Instead as a CAREGiver and has recently taken over the role as Home Care Consultant. In her new role, she will be working with both Williamsport and Lewisburg area referral providers to educate and partner with them on the best ways to serve the needs of our area seniors. Maria will be updating our social media sites, such as Facebook, and coordinate our advertising and marketing efforts to develop a plan to promote the outstanding services provided by our Home Instead CAREGivers. Maria graduated from Elizabethtown College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Marketing. Before joining our team, she worked at Pennsylvania College of Technology in their Workforce Development Department. She is very excited to be a part of the Home Instead Family!
Jessica Busler started working for Home Instead Senior Care in May 2012. She brings over 10 years of experience working as a social worker and program director for individuals that have intellectual disabilities. Jessica's priority is supporting the CAREGiver's throughout their Home Instead career in helping them provide exceptional care to our seniors. Jessica interacts frequently with the CAREGivers to ensure continuous improvement and success of our quality CAREGivers.
Michelle is responsible for all client billing processes and employee payroll. In addition, she is responsible for all other aspects related to human resources relating to unemployment, workers compensation claims, employment verification and references. She also addresses CAREGiver and Client concerns on a daily basis and other general administrative support. She enjoys traveling on her off time and she's been a member of our team since 2011.
Beth is the Office & Billing Coordinator in our Williamsport office. She does an amazing job making everything in our office run smoothly. In addition to answering our telephone, she performs a variety of functions to help coordinate our office functions. Her responsibilities include taking client and CAREGiver inquiries, verifying activity sheets for our clients, and assisting with scheduling as needed. She maintains a watchful eye on our real-time, online portal verifying our services are starting on time, as scheduled.
Before joining Home Instead Senior Care, Beth worked in the medical field as a Patient Liaison and Billing Supervisor with over a decade of experience. The mother of two grown daughters, Beth was born and raised on Long Island, New York. She moved to Williamsport in 2007 and keeps busy caring for her own mother, pets and her expansive gardens. Beth as been with Home Instead Senior Care since February 2014.
Betty Anne is our new Training Coordinator and is excited to join our team at Home Instead! She will be working closely with our new and experienced CAREGivers to ensure that they are well trained and supported as they care for our clients in their homes. “My desire and passion is to educate our CAREGivers in multiple areas of the health and wellbeing of seniors, so that they are successful and compassionate every day!” She looks forward to helping in our mission of helping seniors stay and thrive in their homes, and being their most trusted resource in the Susquehanna Valley! Betty Anne is a Registered Nurse, with more than 23 years of nursing experience which includes teaching and mentoring staff, and volunteer work in the community. She lives in Williamsport and enjoys singing, reading and scrapbooking in her spare time.
Tara began her career as a CAREGiver with Home Instead and is very excited to serve seniors in this new role as Service Coordinator! Her experience as a CAREGiver provides her with added insight into the scheduling needs of our clients and CAREGivers. She always embraces the challenge of connecting our caregiving workforce with our senior clients with a positive energy and the highest quality of service.
Beverly is instrumental in carrying out Home Instead's mission to educate the community on Elder Care topics and issues! She provides free training and educational workshops to various groups in the community to help family CAREGivers and staff at local business' understand senior issues and the changes accompanied with aging, ie: physical, social, emotional and safety issues. "Knowledge equals confidence and our goal is to provide the best information and tools to provide outstanding service to seniors". Beverly is an essential resource in our mission to be the Susquehanna Valley's #1 provider and most trusted resource of home care for seniors.
Tammy began working at Home Instead Senior Care in December 2007. During her time here, she has worked in several positions including staffing and recruitment/retention. Now, if you contact our office after hours or on the weekend, it's likely you will hear Tammy's cheerful voice as one of our On-Call Supervisors. Tammy's experience and passion working with our clients and CAREGivers makes her a wonderful resource for our after-hours callers. Whether the call is from a family inquiring about services for a loved one or a CAREGiver who needs a helping hand!
