Amy began her career with Home Instead Senior Care when she opened a franchise office in Jerseyville, Illinois in 2004. The Jerseyville franchise, which covers several counties, remains open under separate ownership. Amy co-founded our Springfield, Illinois office covering Sangamon, Christian, Logan, Mason & Menard counties with her cousin, Laura Carmody, in 2011.
Amy loves everything about this business! She considers it a great honor to be able to provide service to the seniors of our communities and really enjoys working closely with our CAREGivers & office staff members. Amy believes that gifted CAREGivers are the key to the success of Home Instead Senior Care. Amy has seen many changes in the home care industry in the last 13 years and is eagerly awaiting the innovations of the future.
Amy is a Carrollton, IL native and the proud mother of three children. She holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources. Prior to joining the HISC organization she worked in Human Resources for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Missouri and The Catholic Health Association of the United States, both located in St. Louis. Amy loves answering questions about Home Instead Senior Care and looks forward to hearing from you.
Rob was introduced to Home Instead Senior Care when a family member needed home care services. He and his wife met with staff members and were immediately impressed with the company and the mission to provide distinctive care with a compassionate touch. With a bachelor's degree in marketing and minor in accounting and his experience owning a small business, Rob took on the financial duties of our franchise in 2014. Since that time, his role has expanded to include investment partner with Amy as well as business development, support, and management.
Rob is married to Carol, who works as an RN at Memorial Medical Center. They have 3 children; Katy, J.T. and Danny. Rob is active in his church, heads an Upward Basketball program, serves on two volunteer boards and can be frequently found on the golf course.
Early in 2018 we welcomed Tina to the Home Instead Senior Care family. In her previous role at the Alzheimer's Association, Tina saw families who were struggling to do it all themselves. In her current role with Home Instead Senior Care, Tina works with the community to build awareness about home care services and how we can help.
Tina has been active with the local Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce, Illinois Women in Leadership, and senior care groups in Springfield. Tina rarely meets a stranger and loves getting to know new people.
Tina grew up in Nokomis, IL, about an hour south east of Springfield and graduated from MacMurray College in Jacksonville. She enjoys the small-town atmosphere and currently lives in Petersburg with her husband, Andrew, and their lovable dog, Canon.
When she's not at work, you can find Tina socializing with friends and family, volunteering with her church, or cuddling her dog at home.
We welcomed Robyn to our family in May 2018. Robyn is a "country girl" from a small town in Kankakee County. She grew up in a farming family and enjoyed watching her uncle race stock cars on Friday nights. Robyn worked in retail management and then was the HR Manager for a staffing company prior to joining Home Instead Senior Care. Robyn enjoys recruiting new caregivers and meeting them during interviews. She has a great "gut feeling" about people and continues to find us wonderful caregivers for our seniors.
When not at work Robyn enjoys seeking the next adventure with her husband and their three children. Please contact Robyn if you are interested in becoming a Home Instead Senior Care CAREGiver!
Wendy discovered her passion for caregiving early while providing care for her mother who had many health issues. She later became a full-time caregiver to her grandmother for 5 ½ years while she battled Alzheimer's. Wendy joined our Home Instead Senior Care family in January 2018 as a part-time CAREGiver.
Wendy understands the importance of keeping loved ones safe at home. In addition to her caregiving experience, Wendy comes with a background of more than 20 years in sales & management. She recently accepted the Home Care Consultant position and is looking forward to working with families to develop personalized care plans for their loved one.
She is married to Kevin and is the proud mom & step mom to 5 children. She enjoys spending time with family, going "picking" at flea markets & antique shops, cooking, gardening & evening snuggles with her "fur kids".
Darla was born and raised on her family's century farm in Missouri. She was blessed to spend time with her grandparents and loved the weekend sleepovers where she was quite a competitor in dominos with her grandparents and their friends. Darla is a graduate of Drury College. She worked in the television industry for 22 years before she realized she would rather make a difference in the life of one senior at a time instead of communicating to the masses.
Darla joined our Home Instead Senior Care family as a part-time caregiver in October, 2017. She was initially impressed by the great reputation of Home Instead Senior Care and is now proud to be part of a team that specializes in providing one-to-one care with compassion. In 2019 Darla accepted the opportunity to become our full-time Office Assistant. In her new role she has found that her skills are greatly appreciated by our CAREGiving team & office staff as well as everyone who reaches her as their first point of contact when calling our office. When Darla isn't busy caring for our clients, client family members & our Home Instead team she can be found boating, fishing, reading or flea marketing.
Sammy joined the Home Instead Senior Care family as a part-time CAREGiver in March 2016. She accepted the Lead CAREGiver position in early 2018, and then moved into her current Client Care role in December of 2019. Using her knowledge from these roles, Sammy is able to help families determine how our CAREGivers can help their loved one.
Sammy grew up in Springfield and earned a BS degree in Genetics from Iowa State University. After graduation in 2013 Sammy realized she wanted a more personal contact with people than a laboratory setting would allow and chose to continue her education. She earned a Master's degree in Public Health from Loma Linda University in California in 2015. Following graduation Sammy returned to the Springfield area to be closer to her family and soon found her way to Home Instead Senior Care.
Sammy enjoys attending music festivals, musicals, theater & dance performances with her friends. She also loves to try new recipes for her family and playing with Westies, Smidge and Lil' Bit who live with her parents and brother.
Sammy finds everyday working for Home Instead to be incredibly rewarding! "It's honestly the best feeling to provide care to those who have cared for so many throughout their very full lives. Being able to listen to their stories and adventures makes it all worth it and I come to work feeling excited for what the day is going to bring."
Gina joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in November 2018 following 25 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting. Her passion for helping families keep their loved one at home is rooted in her own experience of the care needed by her own mom.
Gina started at Home Instead as a Client Care Coordinator where she met with families to help them to offer them peace of mind through our caregiving services.
In November of 2019, Gina started a new chapter at Home Instead and began working with the CAREGivers. She currently works as the Training and Retention Manager and provides support to all of our caregivers.
Gina & her husband Brad have 2 children (Jacob & Leah). In her spare time she likes camping, traveling with her family, and refurbishing furniture.
Margaret became a member of our family in 2015. Prior to joining Home Instead Senior Care she enjoyed over 30 years providing service to diverse groups of people through her work and volunteer positions in the hospitality, legal and non-profit industries. In her current role she loves finding the perfect match between client & CAREGiver.
As with many people, Margaret's first experience helping seniors was assisting her grandparents. She was privileged as a teen to have her grandparents from Vermont spend several winters living with her family in Delaware. She later assisted her mother with personal care during her battle with breast cancer and worked as a home helper for a disabled WWII veteran & neighbor.
Margaret became a resident of Illinois in 1998. In her free time she enjoys exploring the parks, back roads & small towns of central Illinois with her true love, their two teenagers and their very spoiled peke-a-tzu.
Marsha joined Home Instead Senior Care as a CAREGiver in 2012 and was soon recognized as CAREGiver of the Quarter in 2013. Prior to joining Home Instead, she used her CNA skills working in local nursing homes and providing private care for her father, who suffered from Alzheimer's, and her grandmother.
Marsha enjoys working in staffing and scheduling at Home Instead. She works hard to match our caregivers with clients and prides herself on finding the perfect pair.
When not working she can be found riding her horse or motorcycle or enjoying the company of her four children, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Keyera is currently a senior at Lincoln College and will soon have her bachelor’s degree in health administration. Keyera joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in July 2016 as a CAREGiver because she has always had a passion for working with seniors. Keyera grew up attached at the hip of her grandma, and she is the reason why Keyera enjoys helping care for seniors today.
As of August 2019, Keyera is now working inside the office as an Office Assistant. She enjoys being a part of the Home Instead Senior Care team. The staff have taught her skills that she can carry throughout her future career in the HR department. When she is not at work, she is either buried in her studies or enjoying spending time with my family and friends.
Carol is a Springfield, Illinois native. Her first experience with Home Instead Senior Care was when she was seeking help providing care for her mom. She was so impressed with the CAREGivers and staff that when a position was available she encouraged her husband Rob to join our team.
Carol continues to work at Memorial Medical Center, where she admits that the senior population is her favorite. Carol states "I lost my only grandparent when I was very young, so I'm always happy to spend time with seniors. I love the stories!"
Carol has been involved with teaching medical staff for many years. She officially joined our Home Instead Senior Care family in 2018. She really enjoys her role overseeing the hands on training of CAREGivers, working with the lead CAREGivers and consulting with the client care team on an as-needed basis. When she's not working Carol loves spending time with family & friends and the flowers in her garden
"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.
