BASTAS_Logo_Santa_Purple.jpgHome Instead Senior Care in Red Oak, TX is proud to partner again this year with the Waxahachie Senior Center for Be a Santa to a Senior.  Be a Santa to a Senior is a way for caring people to express Christmas cheer and goodwill to older adults in Ellis County, some of whom are less fortunate, lonely and nearly forgotten.

How it Works:

The goal is to provide Christmas gifts to the 1000 seniors on the Ellis County Meals-on-Wheels routes, local Veterans and surrounding assisted living facilities.  For some of these senior, this gift will be their only Christmas gift.

A tree will be located in the main lobby of the Waxahachie Senior November 20th – December 16th, featuring male and female gift tags with their respective gift options.

Shoppers pick up a Senior Angel(s), but the items for their angel and return them unwrapped to the Senior Center no later than Friday, December 18th at 2:00 pm, with the Angel gift tag attached.  Gift Ideas include Lotion, Blankets and Throws, Towels, Note Cards, Word Puzzles, Flashlights and magnifying glasses. Rolls of wrapping paper and tape are also greatly appreciated. (Gifts can also be dropped off at the Home Instead Senior Care office at 101 Austin Blvd., Suite 800, Red Oak, TX 75154 an we will ensure they are delivered to the Senior Center.)

Volunteers will wrap the gifts on Monday, December 21st from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Waxahachie Senior Center located at 122 Park Hills Drive Waxahachie, TX 75165 and volunteers will deliver gifts on Tuesday, December 22nd from 9:30 am – noon.
