Wriston and Catharine moved to Anderson in 2009 to open Home Instead Senior Care. Wriston is very familiar with the Upstate of South Carolina as he graduated from Furman University. He has a love and passion for seniors and had always wanted to own his own business. After practicing Law for 12 years in a large corporate firm he left practicing Law and opened the Home Instead Senior Care office in Anderson, SC in 2009. After 10 years of serving seniors in the Anderson community Wriston and Catharine feel they have been able to give the senior population what they want, and that is stay in their own home safely and independently as they age.
To Us It's Personal is the Home Instead Senior Care motto and Wriston and Catharine live by that as they both have their own personal experiences with seeing their grandparents and now their own parents age and need the services of caregivers in their homes. This is very personal to them and because of that they have the compassion and understanding and can put themselves in the shoes of both their clients and the client's loved ones.
Quality is the most important thing to Wriston and Catharine both on the client side and caregiver side. As of 2019 the Anderson Home Instead Senior Care office is number sixteen for quality in the whole Home Instead Senior Care network. "We work hard on a daily basis to make sure both our clients and caregivers are happy. We do have a Client Care Coordinator who makes home visits to every client to make sure they are receiving the care they need, and our caregivers are given extensive training before entering the home of a client and go through a mentor program once they are hired," Wriston and Catharine say.
Wriston and Catharine have been married for 24 years and have two children, one in college and the other in graduate school. They love spending time with their family and enjoy being outdoors hiking or being anywhere on the water.
They say, "Owning Home Instead Senior Care in Anderson has truly been a blessing. Knowing that what we do day in and day out for our senior population is a very rewarding thing."
Rona is our Office Manager and our Staffing Manager. Rona was our first employee when we opened our doors in May of 2009. We hired her to answer the phones and generally help Wriston in the office. Ten years later Wriston and I can say that Rona is the one who has helped build our business into what it is today. She stuck it out in those first two years when we weren't sure if the business was going to make it or not. She has gone through all the ups and downs that a business goes through and has worked every job in the office. Rona's daily focus is on making sure the office is running smoothly and she also oversees the staffing of our caregivers to our clients. She is loyal, faithful and invaluable and Wriston and I don't know what we would do without her.
Music, cooking, reading and spending time with her wonderful family and friends are some of Rona's favorite things. Rona is very active in her church serving as a trustee, an usher, assistant clerk/secretary and assistant teacher for the 6-8 year old primary class.
"Working for Home Instead Senior Care has been the most rewarding job I have ever had. I am very focused on making sure that the client and caregiver relationship is a good fit for all, so that our seniors can feel safe in their own homes and will have peace of mind knowing that a responsible CAREGiver is there to help them in every way possible."

Tana believes there is so much we can learn from the senior population. As the Staffing Coordinator Tana focuses on creating the client and caregiver schedule and fostering great relationships between the clients and caregivers. As the Client Care Coordinator she makes daily home visits to our clients to make sure they are happy with our services. The combination of both roles allows Tana to truly get to know each of our clients well and to match them with the best caregivers for the perfect fit and relationship.

And with that, she will be both dedicated and thorough when recruiting and hiring loving and compassionate caregivers to be part of the Home Instead Senior Care family.

Lynda says, "As we face caring for our senior population, I feel it is so important to help maintain their health, safety, and independence, allowing them to stay in their homes if possible. Above all, they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. I appreciate that Home Instead Senior Care puts so much time and effort into the training of their caregivers. It touches my heart to see how special the relationship between clients and caregivers can be."
In my spare time, I love to travel, spend time with my grown children (four sons and a daughter), attend concerts and music festivals, explore plant-based food options, and do yard work. I am also a beekeeper!
"I am continually struck by the professionalism, high level of caring and exemplary caregivers that I have met from Home Instead. My mom couldn't live without them, and neither could I.
