Deneen’s responsibilities include meeting with prospective clients to answer their questions and address their needs as well as initiating service and perform CAREGiver introductions. She also maintains relationships with health care professionals to provide information on the services Home Instead Senior Care offers families. " I want to deliver quality care and service in any way a client may need“ Deneen grew up in Norfolk,VA. and she and her husband moved to Suffolk,VA in 1989 where they raised their three daughters out in the country. Deneen attended Ferrum College, Old Dominion University.
Kathie has been with Homeinstead Senior Care since April of 2011. She is originally from New Jersey and has also lived in Pennsylvania, where she raised her 3 children. Kathie attended Union College Cranford NJ and majored in Business.
Elaine is originally from Portsmouth,England and moved to the U.S. in 1992 with her husband and two children.She has been very involved as a military volunteer, most recently as an ombudsman for the U.S. Coast Guard. She was instrumental in coordinating emergency plans for the families of deployed sailors. Elaine has two grandsons, Parker and Preston, also two dogs, Maggie and Winston. . She started out as a CAREGiver before being promoted as our Administrative Assistant. She and her husband Dale have lived all over the U.S. before making the great City of Suffolk,VA their home and will celebrate 25 years of marriage in June of 2017.

Suzanne joined the Suffolk Home Instead Senior Care team in the fall of 2013 to assume responsibility for its PCA training. She earned her BSN and MSN from ODU where she currently serves as faculty in their School of Nursing. Suzanne has 35+ years of experience as an educator having also taught math at NSA and Staff Development at CHKD. She enjoys sharing her expertise to prepare individuals to provide quality care across the lifespan.
Joyce has been with us since 2013. She is retired from a local hospital after working as an administrastive assistant for 25 years. She first joined us a a CAREGiver, and now we are lucky enough to have her in the office supporting our staff in a variety of areas.
Joyce attended Suffolk public schools and the Norfolk college of business, where she earned her associates degree in business.
She is the Mother of 2 adult children, grandmother of 2 and the happy owner of "Diva", her 4 year old Chihuahua.
Karen grew up on the James River with a loving Christian Family. She grew up working in her dad's business. She married and has two daughters, one grandson and a granddaughter whom she adores. She worked with her husband in his business, until his passing in 1994. She has worked for doctors in Virginia Beach and for a group of surgeons at the Careplex Hospital, first as a receptionist and then doctor’s secretary. She was a caregiver to her father who had Alzheimer's and took care of her grandson. She discovered Home Instead Senior Care while looking for help for her dad and became an employee in November 2012.
Tanya is originally from Suffolk and moved to Portsmouth at the age of 10. While in Portsmouth, she
graduated from Portsmouth Public Schools. She attended Norfolk State University where she majored in
Biology. She has worked in healthcare and benefits for over 15 years, most recently she worked in
hospice care. After working in home care and hospice for 7 years, Tanya stepped out on faith and took a
sabbatical from working. She was afforded the opportunity to help others, tutoring children at her
church, being ordained as a deaconess on June 8, 2014. “I have always had a special place in my heart
for seniors. I need to be of service to someone else, because someone has helped me along the way.”
Tanya returned to her hometown of Suffolk in 2004. She is happily married to Daryl, who is a retired
Navy Senior Chief and they have 3 children and 3 dogs.
Linda graduated from UNC Chapel Hill and went to work in Medical Surgery Nursing. She has served as Director of Nursing at a nursing home followed by teaching OB Nursing at OBICI Professional School of Nursing. She then taught in OBICI's Practical Nursing Program. She has been in long term care since early 1990's as Admissions Coordinator for a nursing home, staff development nurse, and as a wellness nurse. In addition to working here at Home Instead Senior Care, she also teaches an Adult Nurses Aid class at the Pruden Center here in Suffolk.
Julie began her connection with Home Instead in 2011 as a caregiver. She worked full time with QVC for twenty years as a supervisor in both customer service and administration. During that time, Julie felt a longing to give back and help others, something of value and contribution. That is when she discovered Home Instead and immediately fell in love with the company, her clients and the opportunity to touch other people’s lives. Julie has lived in Suffolk for 40+ years, is married to the love of her life, Harvey, has two adult sons, Kyle and Kevin and 3 awesome grandchildren, Madelynn, Aiden and Ryleigh. She began working in the Home Instead office in 2015 and now enjoys the opportunity to work with clients, their families and the caregivers through the Staffing department. The fast pace, ever changing and always rewarding environment of matching caregivers with clients, partnering with families and providing world class customer service and care for our seniors is the perfect combination of fun, challenge and reward that Julie always wanted!
