Karl holds a bachelor's degree in management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and an MBA in finance from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J. Prior to starting his home care business, Karl held various senior management positions, including CEO of a $70 million multi-plant printing company. His involvement in organizations includes: Virginia Association for Home Care and Hospice, the local Alzheimer Association Advisory Council, member of the board of directors of Partners In Aging, Rappahannock Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council, Board of Directors of NAIFA, former treasurer of the Fredericksburg AARP, former member of the Board of Directors of the Health Care Council of the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Rappahannock Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. Karl is a Certified Senior Advisor and is passionate about senior issues and gives presentations to a variety of local organizations. Since January 2007, he has been writing articles for the Senior Care section of the Front Porch Fredericksburg, a monthly community magazine serving the city of Fredericksburg, and the counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, and King George.
Roberta brings many years of caring for others, personally and professionally. She is an elder in the Presbyterian Church and has been a deacon and trustee. Some of her other service duties include: Big Sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister program, vocational skills lab teaching assistant in a special education school, privately tutored special needs students, United Way volunteer, member of Association for Retarded Citizens, and volunteer at homeless shelters. She attended New River Community College.
Gina brings 25+ years of experience in marketing and management to her position.
A Culpeper County resident for 20 + years, Gina is active in her community. Gina served as Committee Chair for the past 3 Tri-County Alzheimer's Walks, Committee Chair for the 2014 "Senior Prom" and is a recipient of the 2013 Culpeper Town Police Community Service Award.
Gina enjoys spending time with her family, and "Steeler" football.
Janet has been an RN for 30 years. Married for 29 years, the family has lived in Culpeper for the past 11. Janet has 4 children, 3 sons and 1 daughter.
Janet loves cooking, reading, and family outdoor activities — especially hiking.
Carolyn attended Madison College and graduated from George Mason University with a BSN. With 25 + years of experience, Carolyn brings a wealth of knowledge to her position.
Carolyn and her husband have 2 daughters in college.
In addition to spending time with her husband and family, Carolyn likes to read, crochet, knit and paint.
Originally from Oregon, Cara transferred to Virginia from Ohio. She was a Caregiver for Home Instead in Ohio for 6 years, and in the Fredericksburg office for 9 months before becoming the Client Care Coordinator in the Culpeper office.
Cara has 2 children, both in college.
Cara enjoys spending free time quilting, scrapbooking and exploring the Virginia countryside with her husband.
Cindy joined the Home Instead team in the fall of 2014, bringing a wealth of knowledge in human resources management. Previously employed in the human resources department of Rappahannock Electric Cooperative, Cindy gained significant expertise in the areas of benefits and payroll. She is a Spotsylvania County resident. In addition to being an avid tennis player, Cindy is learning to play golf and enjoys spending time with her family.
Addell brings 30 + years of experience in many areas of business management, finance, real estate and recruiting to her position. She received her AAS in Business Management/Office Technology from Northern Virginia Community College..
Addell lives in Culpeper and is very proud of her 3 children. Addell enjoys home remodeling projects, crafting and giving back to her community.
Karen is a Fredericksburg native and lives in Spotsylvania
with her husband, young daughter, and cat. She joined HISC in 2007 as the
Receptionist. In 2013, Karen graduated from Germanna Community College
with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. Prior to joining HISC,
she was a Human Resources Assistant at Rappahannock Goodwill Industries, an
Assistant Manager at Taco Bell, and a Courtesy Desk Associate at Walmart. She
enjoys cooking, reading, watching movies, working out, and spending time with
Jessica is a hometown girl and has lived in Culpeper County her
entire life. As a CNA for seven years,
Jessica has worked as a residential counselor for people with special needs. Simply stated, “I want to make a difference in
the lives of our clients”!
her spare time, Jessica likes to swim, kayak, hike, camp, visit amusement parks and
enjoy cookouts with friends and family.
Dana moved to Culpeper 10 years ago and loves it! With over twenty-five years of work
experience, the last five years in the healthcare industry, she brings a wealth
of experience to Home Instead. Dana is currently
pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in HealthCare Management or
