Bryson is a West Tennessee native, being born and raised in Tipton County. He and his wife Linda brought Home Instead to Jackson and West Tennessee over a decade ago, in 2008. Bryson has worked in the senior industry for over 25 years, helping families navigate the complex issues that arise in the aging process. His heart is to see seniors well-prepared and well-served during their most vulnerable years and to help families know what resources and options are available to help. He loves family time, traveling, RVing, grilling and serving people. He has a daughter and son, who both work in the business, and a Shih Tzu named Buddy.
Linda McQuiston was born and raised in Michigan, but has family roots in West Tennessee. Linda has served in various capacities in the business over the last decade and enjoys making the office setting a place of peace, comfort, and hospitality. Amanda Barlow-Leitch is a Middle Tennessee native, being born and raised in Overton County. She joined the Home Instead family January 2018 after making her new home in Parsons Tennessee. Amanda has worked in the aging community for over 15 years with the past 11 years serving as the Alzheimer's Tennessee Cumberlands Area Director. Amanda has a passion for the Alzheimer's community and a heart to serve individuals and their families who are battling this long disease. Her role as Home Care Consultant / Education Specialist allows for daily opportunities to bring education to our community, training to our caregivers on ways to better interact their clients and bring awareness to the many services that Home Instead Senior Care can provide. Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband TJ, their families and their two Chesapeake Bay Retrievers Cocoa and Sadie Rose. During her spare time, you will find Amanda exploring antique stores, trying out a new recipe, or traveling to new places.
Kayla was born in Memphis, Tn and was raised in both Savannah and Jackson. She is currently working on a degree in Healthcare Administration, and has developed a passion for seniors throughout the years while working in the medical setting. "I truly believe in Homeinstead's mission and providing quality care to every client", she says. Kayla enjoys crafting, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with her rescue dog-Honey.
Mike Murphy was born and raised in Nashville, TN, and currently resides in Covington with his wife, Sam, and his son Jack. Mike attended Bethel University in McKenzie, on a Musical Theatre scholarship. While in school, Mike's love for ministry blossomed and he has worked primarily in churches and non-profits since. He loves impacting lives and having relationships with people, which makes the Recruiting and Engagement Coordinator position a natural fit. Mike finds joy in recruiting, where he gets to introduce applicants to the wonderful world of Caregiving, and loves to watch the Caregivers give their all to the clients. In his spare time Mike likes sports (primarily the Vols, Grizzlies, and Predators), playing drums and guitar, board games, and spending time with his wife and son.
Kayla Kerlec comes to us from Dyersburg, TN and joined the Home Instead family in September 2016. She has been a CNA since 2013, Kayla came to us from Volunteer Private Duty where she was offered a scheduling position after many months of CNA work. Kayla found her passion for scheduling which is something she loves and enjoys. She not only helps families in need of care but also caregivers who are in need to make a difference in someone's life. Kayla enjoys going to the beach and spending time outdoors with her husband Travis.
Kim James assists with Client Care and provides CAREGiver training for new hires. She moved to Tennessee with her family in September 2017, from her home state of Illinois. She has been a nurse for almost 12 years with a passion for helping people and making a difference in their lives. That desire led her to Home Instead in November 2018. She brings with her, Hospice, Long Term Care and Rehabilitation experience. Since moving to Tennessee, Kim loves experiencing new adventures with her husband, Lee, and her two daughters, Jessica and Cassidy. Kim travels back to Illinois when she can, to visit her family that still lives there. She has two dogs and 3 cats. In her spare time, Kim enjoys gardening, cooking with her husband and spending time with her daughters when they are home from college.
Leah Raines joined the Home Instead family in January 2019 after relocating to Humboldt, TN. She is originally from East Tennessee, being born and raised in Morristown. Leah has previously worked in the home care field for the last two years at Brightstar Care in Collierville, TN. In her new role, Leah loves meeting new people and engaging in their story to find the perfect fit. She has a passion for the elderly and loves seeing them happy with the caregivers we match to share their lives with. Leah enjoys spending time with her husband Jeremy and her two step-kids. In her spare time, she loves playing volleyball, going to sporting events (to cheer on the Vols), and traveling to new places.
Charlie McQuiston, son of owners Bryson and Linda McQuiston, was born in Memphis, Tennessee and came to Jackson when the local franchise was opened in 2008. He attended Union University for four years and graduated in May 2018 with a degree in Business Administration. Charlie has a wonderful wife named Angel who also attends Union and will graduate in May 2019 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He chooses the mountains over the beach 100% of the time, as his favorite hobbies are hiking, camping, and adventuring with friends. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and Shih-Tzu named Buddy. Charlie has worked at Home Instead on and off for over 6 years, but has been working full-time for over a year now—he claims he has loved every minute of it!
Emily has her Master's in Social Work. She has 9 years of social work experience that includes mental health, hospice, home health and case management. Emily has developed a love for seniors while working in hospice. She states it is such a joy to have a job that not only helped the patient but also the entire family. She has been married to her husband, Ryan for 8 years and they have three children. They reside in Medina and love being in a small community. They are members of Englewood Baptist Church in Jackson and love their church. Emily enjoys spending time together as a family whether it's a trip to the Memphis Zoo, church activities, an afternoon at the park or just time at home. They love taking family trips to the beach!
