Karl holds a bachelor's degree in management engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and an MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J. Prior to starting his home care business, Karl held various senior management positions including CEO of a $70 million multi-plant printing company. His involvement in organizations includes: Virginia Association for Home Care and Hospice, the local Alzheimer Association Advisory Council, Board of Directors of Partners In Aging, Rappahannock Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council, Board of Directors of NAIFA, former treasurer of the Fredericksburg AARP, former member of the Board of Directors of the Health Care Council of the Fredericksburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the Rappahannock Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow. Karl is a Certified Senior Advisor and is passionate about senior issues and gives presentations to a variety of local organizations. Since January 2007, he has been writing articles for the Senior Care section of the "Front Porch Fredericksburg," a monthly community magazine serving the City of Fredericksburg, and the counties of Spotsylvania, Stafford, and King George.
Roberta brings many years of caring for others, personally and professionally. She is an elder in the Presbyterian Church and has been a deacon and trustee. Some of her other service duties included: Big Sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister program, vocational skills lab teaching assistant in a special education school, privately tutored special needs students, United Way volunteer, member of Association for Retarded Citizens, and volunteer at homeless shelters. She attended New River Community College.One program she is particularly proud of is "Be A Santa To A Senior." This community service effort provides gifts to seniors who live alone and are often overlooked during the Christmas holiday.
Annette joined Home Instead as a CAREGiver in 2016 and
became a Staffing Coordinator in 2017. Annette
and her husband reside in Fredericksburg.
Prior to Home Instead Senior Care, Annette worked 26 years for a private
industry within the information technology (IT) field. Annette has always found time to give her
heart and soul to helping others by volunteering at hospitals, nursing homes,
and participating in a mentor program for ESL students in Fairfax County Public
Schools. Annette loves spending time
with her family, shopping, reading and solving Sudoku puzzles.
Reeitter is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina, a
college graduate from Kaplan University and served four years in the Marine
Corps. Reeitter, her husband, and three children settled in Fredericksburg.
Reeitter joined Home Instead Senior Care in August 2015 as a CAREGiver.
She moved in to the administrative assistant role in June 2018. Reeitter
is fun loving, enjoys listening to music and loves making people laugh. The way
to Reeitter’s heart is through food and her favorite thing to do is to learn
and teach others about the Bible.
Home Instead Senior Care to service Culpeper and Fredericksburg as well as the
surrounding areas. She builds and maintains relationships between the
community, health care providers and medical staff. Julie has worked with
seniors in some capacity for over 18 years. Before joining our team, she was a
community liaison, provider relations and marketing team member for a large
Cardiac group in Peoria Arizona, and prior to that a Research Coordinator at
UVa and then a Research Coordinator in Arizona. She enjoys serving to
facilitate good healthy relationships. She and her husband have three grown
children and a grandson. On her down time, she and her husband enjoy competing
in horse events and maintaining a small farm with their five rescue dogs.
Melissa and her family have been fortunate to live around
the world and have recently relocated from Southern California. Where she
worked for Home Instead Senior Care as a caregiver from August 2016 and moved
to the Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator position November 2017. She
leads and promotes a healthy lifestyle and enjoys cooking, reading, hiking and
quality time with family and friends.
Karen is a Fredericksburg native and lives in Spotsylvania
with her husband, young daughter, and cat. She joined HISC in 2007 as the
Receptionist. In 2013, Karen graduated from Germanna Community College
with an Associate’s Degree in Business Management. Prior to joining HISC,
she was a Human Resources Assistant at Rappahannock Goodwill Industries, an
Assistant Manager at Taco Bell, and a Courtesy Desk Associate at Walmart. She
enjoys cooking, reading, watching movies, working out, and spending time with
Mary is a wife and mother of three who are in high school, college and beyond. She has a master’s degree in psychology and has worked extensively in the past with handicapped children. Mary is originally from Michigan, but she loves her adopted state of Virginia that has much milder winters! She enjoys reading, gardening and going to the ballet and theater performances in her spare time.
Cindy joined the Home Instead team in the fall of 2014, bringing a wealth of knowledge in human resources management. She is a Spotsylvania County resident. In addition to being an avid tennis player, Cindy is learning to play golf and enjoys spending time with her family.
Donna came to Home Instead Senior Care with many years of experience as a CAREGiver (CNA), On-Call Coordinator, and Staffing Coordinator. This is a "come-from-the-heart" job and Donna has that heart and compassion. A native of the Fredericksburg area, Donna and her husband make their home in Spotsylvania County. When not working she enjoys time with family that includes a daughter, son and most especially her granddaughter.
Carole has lived in the Fredericksburg community for 30
years. She is a member of the Presbyterian Church where she has served as
an elder, deacon and is a bell ringer and an honorary member of the Stafford
Carole volunteers at the Guadeloupe Free Clinic in Colonial
Beach as a phlebotomist and RN. She is also a Certified Senior Advisor
and believes in the importance of being an advocate for the aging population.
She is also a caregiver for her Mom and brother.
Carole has 4 grown children, 6 grandchildren and is blessed
with the time she has with them. She enjoys tennis, traveling and is a
Cynthia has been in the nursing field for 31 years. She is the mother of 2 wonderful children and grandma of 4 wonderful baby grands! Cynthia worked for Home Instead of Fredericksburg several years ago, and has returned as a trainer. She says "My favorite thing is to praise...praise is what I do!"
Brice is a Newport
News, Virginia native and spent 10 years in Chicago with his wife and son. He
worked in the music industry as a songwriter and performer for 15 years and
discovered his love for working with senior citizens in Chicago after
volunteering at a food pantry delivering food. After returning to Virginia,
Brice managed the Fredericksburg Senior Cafe which is a part of the
Rappahannock Area Agency on Aging. He joined HISC in December of 2018 and looks
forward to continuing his work with the senior citizens of the community.
Tricia was born and raised in the Fredericksburg area. She joined our team in October 2018 as a Home
Care Consultant and R.N. She has lived
all over the country but moved back to the area in 2010. She received her degree in Social Work from
Mary Washington College and then pursued her R.N. degree. She has been a registered nurse for over 20
years. She loves helping others. Tricia likes outdoor activities: biking,
hiking and tennis and visits with her granddaughter.
