Home Instead, Inc. recognizes regional CAREGivers of the Year and one special CAREGiver who shows exceptional dedication is the recipient of the national award — The Mary Steibel CAREGiverSM of the Year Award.

This program inspires CAREGivers to strive for excellence. It creates a sense of pride and rewards their hard work, compassionate care and service to others.

​Jessica S. has been chosen as our CAREGiver of the Month for March 2015.  Jessica is from New Castle-Union Township.  She has only been with Home Instead for 4 1/2 short months but has been a wonderful asset to our company.  When asked what she likes about being a Home Instead CAREGiver, she said "Knowing you make a difference in peoples lives!".  Jessica is married to Fred and they have 6 children.  Mackenzie, Cecilia, Madelynn, Fred, Sophia, and Katherine, along with 2 dogs and a cat!  She enjoys crafts and reading Nora Roberts.  She would also like to share this:  "I love my job and am so grateful that I was given the opportunity to do this.  Thank you to Home Instead and the Staff who are very helpful and caring!"  Thank you Jessica!


CAREGIVER OF THE MONTH-FEBRUARY 2015

​Sue S. was chosen as February-2015, CAREGiver of the Month.  Sue is from Sharon, PA and has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead Senior Care for 2 years.  She has been working as a caregiver on and off since 1969.  She said that she likes being a CAREGiver because "I have a special place in my heart for the elderly."  Sue had 3 daughters, 1 son, 5 granddaughters and 1 grandson and most importantly, her 82 1/2 year old mom.  Sue hobbies include singing, reading, c​​​ooking, and entertaining (parties, dinners, etc.)  Thank you​​​ Sue and Congratulations!!Smith, Sue.jpg


CAREGIVER OF THE MONTH-JANUARY 2015

​Donna W. was named CAREGiver of the Month for January 2015.  Donna is from Hadley, PA and has been a CAREGiver with Home Instead Senior Care for 2 years.  She likes being a CAREGiver because it is "Never the same day twice".  She is married to her husband, Jim and has a son, James.  Her hobbies include NASCAR and Camping.  Congratulations and Thank You Donna!!Wojciechowski, Donna.jpg

Pam R - CAREGiver of the Year 2014
2014 CAREGiver of the Year For Lawrence and Mercer Counties Pam Riffe of Transfer, PA was named 2014 CAREGiver of the Year for the Home Instead Senior Care office serving Lawrence and Mercer Counties. Pam received the honor at the company’s Quarterly CAREGiver Meeting and Christmas Celebration held at their office in Wampum, PA on December 11, 2014. Pam has been part of the Home Instead team since December 2012. During her Home Instead tenure, she has provided over 3000 hours of compassionate care to 16 Home Instead clients. Pam was twice recognized as the CAREGiver of the Month, first in May 2013 and then again in July 2014. The CAREGiver of the Year is decided by the Home Instead administrative team each year. “We have so many fantastic CAREGivers that is very difficult to narrow it down to just one,” said Mike Neupauer, owner of the Home Instead Senior Care Franchise seniors in Lawrence and Mercer Counties. “After much discussion and debate, we decided Pam would be this year’s award winner,” added Neupauer. “Pam did some really special things this year that really made her stick out during the selection process,” stated Eleise Emery, Recruitment and Retention Coordinator for Home Instead. “Pam’s caring and compassion for her clients is extraordinary. She really goes above and beyond the call of duty for her clients,” added Emery. Pam became the 10th recipient of the Home Instead Senior Care CAREGiver of the Year award for Lawrence and Mercer Counties, joining a select group of outstanding caregivers. When she is not working, Pam enjoys spending time with family, dirt track auto racing, and music. Congratulations to Pam for all of her outstanding service.​

Grace C - CAREGiver of the Year 2013
2013 CAREGiver of the Year For Lawrence and Mercer Counties Grace Clark of West Pittsburgh was named Co-CAREGiver of the Year for 2013 for the Home Instead Senior Care office serving Lawrence and Mercer Counties. Grace received the honor at the company’s Quarterly CAREGiver Meeting and Christmas Celebration held at their office in Wampum, PA on December 12, 2013. Ben Roberts of Hermitage was also recognized as Co-CAREGiver of the Year, in what was the first ever tie for the honor. “This is the first time in 9 years we ever had a tie. After much debate, we were still deadlocked, so we decided to have “co-winners,” said Mike Neupauer, owner of the Home Instead Senior Care office serving Lawrence and Mercer Counties. “These two exemplify all the best qualities that caregivers need. They have been dependable, reliable and just have a knack of putting their clients at ease. They are both fantastic,” added Neupauer. “We’re proud to honor Ben and Grace for their compassionate service and commitment to older adults,” added Neupauer. “CAREGivers represent the best of our organization, making a difference in the lives of seniors every day.” Grace has logged over 5100 hours of service since joining our team in December of 2011. She has provided quality care to 34 clients during her Home Instead tenure. Grace was also recognized as the CAREGiver of the Month in September 2013. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with family, church activities, sewing and reading. Other hobbies include crossword puzzles and bingo. Congratulations to Grace for a job well done.
