We recently heard an amazing presentation by Robin Lombardo about treating Alzheimer patients with music.

We learned that when thousands of individuals battling Alzheimer's ,heard music that they loved they were able to feel calm and relaxed.

This treatment reduces agitation and sundowning. Hearing music that the patient relates to,improves engagement and socialization with a non-phamaceutical approach. Music reduces pain, depression, anxiety and insomnia.

The movie Alive Inside traces Music & Memory founder Dan Cohen on his journey to help those with Alzheier's and other dementias reawaken their souls through the simple, profound experience of listening to their favorite music.

Ask your loved one what should be on his or her playlist today.
