"Personal, flexible, good communication, wonderful caregivers!
"I hired Home Instead for my mom after she got out of the hospital. They are wonderful. They have sent the best workers and my mother has loved everyone. They send middle-aged women who have a little bit more in common with my mother. They actually sit and talk and have great conversations. I think that is a really big thing. They also help with the meals and do the laundry, but more importantly, they provide companionship which has helped my mom tremendously. I highly recommend them.
There are just no words to describe the peace of mind you all have given us over the past seven years of companionship care for my mother. Your outstanding employees have been so great and caring and helped all of us get through a difficult period of adjustment. I cannot recommend or praise all of you enough.
On behalf of our family we wish to thank you so much for your help in caring for our mother over these many years. The quality of ladies that you provided to mother and their dedication was second to none.
Thank you so much for honoring me at the Salute to Senior Service awards dinner. I couldn't have been more pleased to be chosen as a finalist. It was a pleasure meeting everyone from Home Instead--a wonderful group of people.
Such a beautiful thank you to seniors volunteering is beyond description. However, a heartfelt thank you is indeed needed. What beautiful memories I'll hold of that night. Being honored as top volunteer is simply icing on the cake.
Thank you for a special night on May 10, 2012. The hospitality was outstanding which made an enjoyable evening. It was so nice to meet 'fellow' volunteers. Each one was a winner.
I just want to say a few words of thanks for the wonderful evening of May 11th that you provided for the nominees for the Salute to Senior Service Awards. It was obvious that a great deal of time and effort had gone into the planning of the evening. Just the booklet we received was evidence of that effort--a delight! On our way home, Mallory Hoffman, who nominated me said, "I'm sorry you didn't win," to which I replied, "oh, but I did! Just being nominated and being there meant I had won." So--again--my thanks for a grand evening in the company of people who care.Everyone, thank you for the most beautiful rose you sent Mother. And for all the woderful care you all gave Mother when you took care of her. The care that was given to her by Kim and Judy and the lady was just great. They took care of Mom like she was their own Mother. We could not of done better ourselves.
During the months our father was dying, he wrote an essay explaining the solace received from hospice care. It was his way to say thank you to his caregivers for their attention and comfort and kindness. Our Mom, Patricia, although once a great lover of words and books, was not a writer like her husband, but she, too, was comforted by the loving care and attention paid to her by her caregivers. And so upon her death, Pat's children feel it is fitting to send this note of appreciation to you. We so wanted our Mom to live out her days as peacefully and comfortably as possible at home. The care you provided played a large part in that wish becoming reality. Our deepest thanks to each and every caregiver for the love and respect and attentiveness you afforded our Mom.
I talked with Karl and the CG today. Karl is having the time of his life!!!! We are all so happy for him, and it's all thanks to you guys at Home Instead!!!! He was so anxious to take the phone from the CG to talk to me to tell me how wonderful all your ladies are. He is thrilled about every one of them, pointing out that one CG took him shopping for things he forgot to put on his shopping list; another CG took him out to eat, made him an omelet and the fruit salad he has been craving since Catharine died!! He just went on and on. We are so happy that he has had all this coming and going this week, and that he has been so comfortable with it. Also, Karl was so proud that your ladies wrote in the journal that he has been a real gentleman. He mentioned that he was disappointed not to meet the other CG, as she has been sick, and he hopes she feels better soon. I just wanted to give you positive feedback because all your people, including our favorite (a personal friend of mine) are fabulous!
I am very pleased with the care and companionship your CG has been providing for my dad. He seems much happier being able to run his errands and get out to eat. His doctor mentioned he only needed to check his blood sugar three times/week so it works out great that Lisa can help. She's also been checking the activities calendar and reviewing it with him to choose events to participate in as I had asked. I'm also happy she checks his refrigerator and will be able to adjust her schedule to take him to a few football games. At the moment, I can't think of anything the CG could do to add to his care. It's much easier not living near by when I know what she's accomplishing for him!
To the caretakers from Home Instead: Thank you all for the expert and considerate cre you gave to (my Mom). You gave rest and peace of mind to her family. You gave her companionship, encouragement, and enjoyment. You made it possible for her to live ith her cat, Little Sister, rather than in a nursing home. For many brightnesses in her life, we thank you.
I want to add my thanks to those you already received through my sister. Over the many months you provided care and companionship to our mother I could not have been happier with your service. All the caregivers were reliable, sensitive to Mom's needs, quick to learn and respect her preferences, and brought genuine interest and cheerful companionship into her daily life. They made a huge contribution to the quality of her life. And I had peace of mind because of my confidence in your agency. I recommend Home Instead every chance I get...
I will do so more formally in due course, but I want to thank you and Jen and everyone who helped provide care and support to mom before she passed away. I do not know what we would have done without you.
