Karen Stephenson purchased the Home Instead
Senior Care franchise in November of 2013.
She is very active in the office and oversees the leadership of the organization and
ensures we provide the highest quality caregiving services. Her time is also
spent meeting with new clients, developing community relationships and striving
for excellence at every level of the organization. She can be contacted for any questions
regarding the quality of our services or if you know a senior in need of
guidance and support. Karen
comes from a diverse background; she began as a Software Sales Executive and
continued for over 16 years while receiving many achievement awards then became
the owner of a Real Estate Development and Construction Company for over 10
years. She is now serving in her most rewarding role of CEO/Owner for Home
Instead Senior Care. Karen is passionate
about exceeding expectations of clients and CAREGivers, and sets an example of
leadership in her office and the industry.
Lina Abankwa manages the internal
operations for the agency. Including, training, recruitment, retention,
supports compassionate & committed persons to become CAREGivers for HISC
and quality improvement. Lina obtained a Bachelor’s in Health Administration from DeVry
University, and an MBA from Keller Graduate School Of Management. She enjoys
travelling and cooking.
Dionne Elam coordinates care needs for assigned clients and utilizes communication with family & medical staff to support the mission of HISC. Her position develops and maintains client assessments, conducts QA visits and facilitates introductions between clients and caregivers. Dionne has been working in Social Work for 17 years. She is a Certified Child Welfare Worker and also has experience in mental health. Her favorite season is spring, she loves her pets, and also manages to find free time doing home improvement projects and DIY car repairs.
Cristina Dabu works
with caregivers, clients and their family members to create schedule solutions
that will suit their needs and exceed their expectations. Cristina
holds a CNA license and started
with Home Instead in 2006. She has filled a number of roles over the years with
Home Instead; including, CAREGiver, Care Coordinator and On Call Manager. Cristina
is very excited to grow her career with Home Instead and be a part of our
Operations team in the staffing capacity.
Jennifer Sargent coordinates care needs
for assigned clients and utilizes communication with family & medical staff
to support the mission of HISC. Her
position develops and maintains client assessments, conducts QA visits and facilitates
introductions between clients and caregivers. Jennifer has been with Home
Instead Senior Care LaGrange Franchise since 2009. She got transferred to our
Chicago Office In May of 2017, and has remained with us since.
Home Instead offers free monthly newsletters with tips and advice for caregivers of elderly loved ones.
