Our Home Instead Senior Care family enjoyed sending our love through the "Honks for Hugs" event as we drove through Jacksonville visiting our local healthcare providers.As you can hear in the video, our Community Outreach Coordinator, Tiffany White, was thrilled to deliver the "hugs" to staff and residents of Prairie Village, Aperion Care, Heritage Health, Balsam Terrace, Cedarhurst, The Pointe, and Jacksonville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Thank you to all who participated and it was such a joy to see so many smiles despite this challenging time.
On Thursday, March 12th, Home Instead has the awesome opportunity to participate in the Jersey County Health Fair. While at the fair, we were able to answer questions about receiving services, becoming a CAREGiver, and were also able to raffle off a fun goody basket.
On Wednesday, February 19th, Home Instead was out and about at MacMurray College’s career fair. Festival of Trees is not only a community holiday tradition, it’s also a charitable fundraiser. Proceeds will benefit the Pathway Partners Fund, which helps cover the cost of unfunded needs for clients receiving services through Pathway.
We had so much fun decorating our tree to represent Home Instead! We have a Care Giving Tree that features our wonderful CAREGivers, along with all of the things that represent what we do for and with our clients.
The Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Jacksonville, IL had a great turn out! The Home Instead Team raised a total of $2,800. What a beautiful day to support and spread awareness for Alzheimer’s!
Generation after generation the farming community has shown us how grit and determination will yield a successful crop. These two qualities can also be seen in our senior community as they teach us valuable lessons about life.
Our Director of Client Care, Nikki Bishop, joined the fun attending the first annual Breakfast on the Farm co-hosted by the Knodle Ltd. Farms and the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce.
Heather and Brian Knodle gave a tour of the farm as we learned about the latest technology advancements, climbed in the cab of tractors and combines, and even supported the local FFA with a chicken “dropping” game!
