At Home Instead Senior Care, we consider it an honor to participate in the Be A Santa To A Senior project each year. One of the best parts of this program is the opportunity to work with wonderful businesses in the area who agree to host our trees, adopt our wonderful seniors, and who volunteer their time to such a worthwhile cause!
Franklin Woods Community Hospital is an 80-bed not-for-profit hospital providing health care for Johnson City and the surrounding Northeast Tennessee area.
Nestled in a wooded landscape with large expanses of green space, Franklin Woods Community Hospital opened in July 2010. The 240,000 square foot facility replaced the aging North Side and Johnson City Specialty hospitals, both of which closed in July 2010. Exterior and interior walls of native stone, healing gardens and streaming natural light from large windows distinguish Franklin Woods from other health care facilities.
The same year it opened, the $122 million facility received designation from the U.S. Green Building Council as a Silver level LEED-certified hospital — Tennessee’s first — for implementing green design and building strategies to reduce energy, water and resources while increasing the health and well-being of those who use the facility.
Franklin Woods Community Hospital is a “special place”. It is truly a community hospital by the best definition in that it strives every day to meet the needs of the communities that we serve in the surrounding region.
Be sure to stop by the front lobby of this beautiful facility today to sponsor a senior!
