Home Instead Senior Care is Southern Maine's most trusted and preferred source of non-medical home care for older adults, and every day our CAREGiversSM perform ESSENTIAL work, making a difference in people’s lives.  As our RECRUITER, you can make a difference, too.  This is a full-time position in our Kennebunk office.  Experience in homecare, home healthcare, or recruiting is preferred but not required.

The Recruiter is an integral part of the Staffing department, whose primary responsibilities focus on sourcing, interviewing, and hiring CAREGivers and administrative activities supporting their hiring, training, and retention. The Recruiter is typically among the first people that job seekers encounter; our company’s success depends on a culture that combines professionalism, with service-orientation, excellence, and efficiency; coupled with a sincere understanding of the motivation of individuals who choose to assist older adults as companions and/or providers of hands-on personal care.

The Recruiter reports to the Owner.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring of qualified CAREGivers;
  • Perform reference checks and background checks; coordinate substance screening tests for applicants and staff;
  • Coordinate with training personnel in the orientation and training of new hires and others;
  • Manage all required HR-related documentation – paper and computer-based – for new hires and others;
  • Actively work with management and staff suggesting recruitment and retention strategies to respond to staffing needs and company goals.
