Ramona Bevan, CAREGiver of the Year 2014

Ramona Bevan, CAREGiver of the Year 2014

Ramona came to Home Instead Senior Care looking for a way to pay it forward to others who are in need of support and encouragement in their lives. She walks into every client’s home with a certain attitude of caring and compassion like no other. Clients and their families have called and thanked us for having such a positive and caring person on our staff. Ramona can convince any client that life is worth living and enjoying. She's always encouraging her clients not to give up. One client’s daughter commented that it is amazing the difference Ramona made in her mom’s attitude.

Ramona’s attitude and selflessness are remarkable. Ramona fought her own battles with both breast cancer and ovarian cancer and thankfully has been in remission for 8 years. After she beat her own cancer, she cared for her father who died of lung cancer, her brother who died from lung and brain cancer, and also took care of her Uncle who she cared for every morning and afternoon after work. Despite her trials with her own health, Ramona feels blessed. She feels she was kept in this world to help others through hard situations and to give them a better quality of life.

A client's daughter called and told the office, and I quote “Ramona has a genuine warmth about her, and my mom's face absolutely lights up when she sees Ramona. She is like family to us now, and I am beyond delighted when she is scheduled to care for my parents because I know that they are receiving the best care.”
