Ben Karakunnel has over 14 years of experience in research, data analytics and marketing and uses the core values and the solid foundation provided to align himself to build a strong mission for his clients. His hobbies include watching movies, hiking and riding his bike.
Dr. Treasa Davis is our medical advisor/consultant for the Home
Instead Senior Care Los Angeles Team.
Dr. Davis completed her medical school education at Michigan
State University Medical School and finished her residency training in Family
Medicine at Chino Valley Medical Center, California in 2014. She is Board
Certified in Family Medicine.
Dr. Davis chose to specialize in family medicine to pursue her
passion in continuity and community care. She believes in treating her patients
as partners, collaborating treatment plans that are tailored to each individual
patient. During her residency, Dr. Davis volunteered as a team physician for
Relay for Life, high school football teams and at the local youth boxing teams
in Chino, California. She has enjoyed living in the San Fernando Valley, and in
her free time, Dr. Davis enjoys outdoor activities with her husband.
Katie Zeljak earned a Bachelors’ Degree in Social work from
the University of Pikeville on a bowling scholarship. She has 6 years’
experience in the social work field and currently holds a license to practice
social work in the state of Ohio. Her work experience includes hospice social
work, bereavement and supervising
clients with developmental disabilities. She has previously been a volunteer
for the Alzheimer’s Association as a facilitator for support groups. Her
favorite part of being on the Home Instead Team is being able to meet new
seniors and being able to help with the next phase of their lives. As a Home
Care Consultant, she is able to educate the community on everything Home
Instead has to offer, and ultimately increase the quality of each client’s
life. In her spare time, she enjoys the beach, bowling, and traveling in her RV
with her Husband Ian and dog Madi.
Marty Cole is originally from Northern California (Berkeley).
She has been working in the the Health Care arena for over 15 years as a
Staffing/Patient Care Coordinator.
Her favorite part about being a client care coordinator is
that it allows her the opportunity to interact with families that may be
struggling with caring for a loved one. It brings joy to her heart knowing that
she is able to share love and genuine concern for families in need. Helping
others has always been her Passion – it feels good when you’re able to turn a
frown into a smile! 😊
When she is not helping others, you can usually find her working in the garden or preparing healthy meals.
Qudus is our Scheduling Coordinator & Caregiver Manager.
He comes from a case manager background working with clients with mental
disabilities. Qudus' responsibilities are scheduling caregivers for our clients as well as managing caregiver's development & training. Qudus' favorite part of his job is interacting with caregivers on a daily basis and helping them be the best that they can be. In his spare time, Qudus enjoys
watching television, specifically stand up comedy specials. His favorite is
Crystal is our Recruitment Coordinator. In that role,
she is always looking for the best caregivers to fill our client’s needs.
Crystal works with local schools and universities as well as
carefully screening hundreds of applicants to help build the best team of
caregivers in the industry. What she likes best about her job:
“There is a real satisfaction to giving someone a job – an opportunity.
And I love hearing back from our clients that someone I hired is making their
lives better”. A Kentucky native, Crystal now lives in West Hollywood
with Leia, a Yorkshire terrier and real princess.
