Jim and Mary Sukiennik have been the proud owners of the local Home Instead Senior Care office serving the Mississippi Gulf Coast since February, 2003.
Jim Sukiennik grew up in Tuscaloosa, AL, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of West Alabama. After a long career as a controller and Chief Financial Officer for several firms, Jim is using his business skills and appreciation for seniors to provide services to keep them safely at home, where they want to be. When not working, Jim enjoys golfing, kayaking, and spending time with his family.
Mary, an Alabama native, graduated from the University of Alabama before going to work as a social worker for many years. After moving to the Coast in 1991, Mary stayed at home with their children, Kait and Matt, until she and Jim opened their Home Instead Senior Care office. Mary also enjoys reading, baking, playing tennis, and spending time with her family.
Both Jim and Mary have been family caregivers for their mothers, who had Alzheimer's Disease. "I assisted with my mother's care as her disease progressed from slight cognitive impairment to the final stages of Alzheimer's, and during that time she was able to stay at home as she wanted to do", said Jim. They understand both the desire that seniors have for living at home as long as possible and the need for additional services to make that possible. They have both worked hard over the years to provide their clients with the highest level of non-medical care.
Kelli joined the team at Home Instead Senior Care in March of 2013. She has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of Human Resources to include recruiting, employee relations and training. She studied at Tulane University in Biloxi, MS for Human Resources and has had many hours of Employment Law related seminars. Her focus is to obtain the best qualified CAREGivers and to match their talents with the needs of our seniors. Kelli will be conducting orientation and implementing training classes to ensure our seniors have the best possible care. She will also be assisting in scheduling our CAREGivers for shifts and other needs as they may arise.
Kelli is from Biloxi, MS. She is married to Chris and they have two children, Alexandria and Zachary. When Kelli is not recruiting or training, she enjoys boating and spending time with her family and friends.
Jeneen joined the team at Home Instead Senior Care in March of 2015. She has over 10 years of experience in all aspects of Office Management/Executive Assistant to include employee schedules, accounting, training, data processing, and maintaining updated information. She studied at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Biloxi, MS for Business Management and has had many hours of Office Management related seminars. Her focus is to help maintain a professional atmosphere within the office. She will also be assisting in scheduling our CAREGivers for shifts along with billing and other needs as they may arise.
Jeneen is from Pass Christian, MS. She is the mother of one child, Jenson. When Jeneen is not working in the office she stays busy with her Cosmetology license, boating, outdoor activities, and supporting her son in sports.
Louise, who has more than 30 years of nursing experience, specifically in the Home Health Industry, joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in December 2015. Louise graduated from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. She has always loved assisting seniors and is looking forward to working with the team to improve the lives of our senior clients. She is excited about providing the best care to our clients in the community.
She is originally from New Orleans, LA but came to the Gulf Coast at an early age with her family and loved it from day one.
Currently, she lives in Gulfport, MS with her husband and enjoys spending time with their 3 children and 3 grandchildren, Kylie, Macie and Every. She loves to sew and crochet.
Carolyn, who has over 20 years of nursing experience, joined the Home Instead Senior Care team in February 2017. She graduated from Hinds Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing. Her mother was a nurse and saw the fulfillment it gave her to help others and that fulfillment is what drives her each and every day.
Carolyn works closely with the clients, as well as their families, to prepare a plan of care tailored to the specific needs of the clients. Also, she works with the caregivers to equip them with the knowledge they need to give the appropriate care to the clients.
She is originally from Jackson and has called the Coast her home since 2007. She has been married to her husband, Joe, for 32 years. Together, they have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. When not working, they enjoy spending time with friends and family.
Jessica joined the team at Home Instead Senior Care in May 2017. She has over 15 years of experience in all aspects of Business Management, to include Marketing and Public Relations. She studied at the University of Southern Mississippi and earned a degree in Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Jessica's focus is to work with our local community, here on the Coast, to educate as many Care Providers as possible how Home Instead Senior Care can help their patients and their loved ones by allowing them to age in place. She works to gather as many community resources as possible for Seniors. She also networks and partners with community organizations all over the Mississippi Gulf Coast to help aging adults. Her passion is to ensure our Seniors are receiving the dignity and respect that they deserve.
Jessica is originally from Denham Springs, La. However, she has called the Gulf Coast home for the past 17 years. She is the mother of two daughters, Allison and EllaGrace. When Jessica is not working, she enjoys staying busy with her Real Estate business and also spending quality time with her girls and friends.
Christina joined the team at Home Instead Senior Care in July 2017. Using her previous scheduling experience and over 7 years of administrative office experience, Christina will be assisting with handling the schedules for our CAREGivers and clients. Her goal is to provide excellent customer service and make sure our clients are satisfied with the care they receive from our CAREGivers.
Christina is a Gulfport native. When she isn't working, or studying, she enjoys spending time with her family, baking, and traveling. Christina is also pursuing a degree in Finance and Accounting at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
