Home Instead Senior Care CAREGivers provide a variety of non-medical services that allow seniors to remain in their homes.  These services are meant to enhance the quality of life for seniors. Home Instead Senior Care CAREGivers help clients and their families meet the challenges of aging with dignity, pride, care and compassion. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform general office clerk duties; filing, making copies, errands, mailings.
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls with a positive demeanor.
  • Serve as the backup to front desk receptionist.
  • Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information required.
  • Operate office machines, such as photocopier, scanners, fax machines, voicemail systems and personal computers.
  • Document and email information; enter and maintain information in written or electronic form.
  • Maintain regular communication with supervisor and office staff.
  • Reflect the core values of BeauCo, LLC. (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise).

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Provide Companionship, Personal Care and Specialized services to clients.
  • Care for clients by changing bed linens, washing and ironing laundry, cleaning, or assisting with their personal care; may include bathing and showering.
  • Contribute to a positive living environment to enhance a client’s quality of life.
  • Document daily activities and report any significant changes in a client’s needs or living conditions.
  • Provide clients with help moving in and out of beds, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles and with dressing and grooming.
  • Assist clients with daily activities and provide medication reminders.
  • Drive to or provide transportation to client’s residence.
  • Maintain records of client’s care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with supervisor.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Ability to actively listen, take notes, respond appropriately to clients and office staff.
  • Ability to follow directions and complete tasks.
  • Warm personality with strong communication skills.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and office staff in a friendly and congenial manner.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license or state identification.
  • Possess valid auto insurance (if applicable).
  • Ability to withstand exposure to dust, mold, mildew and cleaning solutions.
  • Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
  • Ability to adapt to various living environments and locations.
  • Ability to lift, push or pull 25 pounds
  • Ability to bend, twist, stoop, kneel and reach.
  • Available during typical workday hours of 8 am to 5 pm with flexibility to work occasional weekends or evenings with advanced notice.


  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Able to work independently and in a team atmosphere.
  • Knowledge of the English language with ability to read and write effectively.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years in an office atmosphere or related field
  • 1 year of previous caregiving or medical experience (preferred)
