One of the most challenging stages in the aging process can be navigating the legal issues that may arise over time. After there are advance directives, wills, and powers of attorney in place - what happens when a loved one loses capacity and family and friends have diverse opinions on what is best for them? Join us to learn about the possible challenges to documents, guardianship and conservatorship proceedings, and how the Commonwealth of Virginia views a loss of mental capacity.

SPEAKER: Robert P. Stenzhorn, Schempf & Ware PLLC
Robert (Bob) P. Stenzhorn is a litigator with Schempf & Ware, PLLC in Yorktown, Virginia. His active civil trial practice includes litigation with a focus on personal injury, business disputes, wills and trusts, fiduciary fraud and bankruptcy. He maintains his designation as a Certified Public Account in both Virginia and the District of Columbia. The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) has awarded Bob the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) credential. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the James Kent American Inns of Court; the York Poquoson Bar Association; and the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia. Bob is a past-President of the Newport News Bar Association.
