Seth & Hannah Michael - Owners

Seth & Hannah Michael - Owners

​Seth and Hannah Michael are the proud owners of this Livonia office which has been serving seniors and their families in the western Wayne county for almost 16 years.  Seth and Hannah both attended college in Michigan before Seth joined The United States Airforce. They took over the Home Instead Senior Care in Livonia after personally experiencing the struggle of caring for Seth's grandparents who suffered with Parkinson's disease and pancreatic cancer.

The peace of mind that came from knowing their grandparents were well taken care of, while they could not be present, moved them to want to pass on the blessing to other families in their area.  Seth and Hannah are passionate about spreading God's love to the seniors, their families and all who work for Home Instead Senior Care.  They work hard daily in the office, with their outstanding team, to assure that each Senior is receiving the proper care needed. The vision for this company is to enhance the lives of everyone they encounter and they look forward to seeing the impact Home Instead is making and will continue to make in this community.


Jahda - Office Dog

Jahda - Office Dog

Jahda is his name, and loving is his game. Jahda is the office dog who accompanies Seth and Hannah to work every day.  He is a seven-year-old Goldendoodle who has more than enough love and kisses to spread around the entire Wayne County.  Jahda will soon have a sister named Rem who will be a certified Therapy dog.

Seth and Hannah plan on taking Rem out to visit the seniors they care for and to stop by facilities to see anyone who needs a little sunshine added to their day.  Please feel free to swing by and say hello to Jahda or Rem, they would absolutely love it!​


Jan Sergison - Client Care Manager

Jan Sergison - Client Care Manager

​Jan has been with Home Instead Senior Care since the beginning of 2017 as our Client Care Manager. She come to us with many years of experience both in assisting seniors and working in a customer service/marketing area. In her position, she meets with potential clients and their families to discuss the plan of care that will be needed to keep the senior safe and secure in their own residence. Because this process can be extremely overwhelming for everyone involved, Jan feels extremely blessed and rewarded to be able to help families navigate through this difficult time.  Jan is always compassionate and empathetic, building on our focus here, to enhance the lives of everyone we encounter.

Jan is married with 3 children and two grandchildren and is a huge asset to the Home Instead Senior Care team. She loves to surround herself with her family and friends enjoying this like sporting events, trips to northern Michigan or just casual get togethers. Jan looks forward to meeting with any potential families who are interested in learning more about how we can help you care for your loved one.


Christine Flacks - Director of Client Care

Christine Flacks - Director of Client Care

​Christine has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Mercy College of Detroit.  She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Michigan University.

This combined knowledge in both nursing and therapy lends Christine great expertise in assessing the needs of our clients in the safety of their own home. Prior to working for Home Instead Senior Care Chris worked as a Public Health Nurse for 10 years, Head Injury Coordinator for 5 years, Hepatitis B Coordinator for the Michigan Department of Community Health for 7 years, and a pediatric and adult Vaccine Specialist for a leading pharmaceutical company for 11 years.

Christine's responsibilities at Home Instead Senior Care include assessments of all new clients and continuous supervision of their cases through our Quality Assurance Program at Home Instead.  Christine combines her extensive medical experience with her passion for helping others to manage the needs of all the Home Instead Senior Care clients.​​


Annette Kubeshesky - Inquiry Specialist

Annette Kubeshesky - Inquiry Specialist

As the Inquiry Specialist, Annette is responsible for speaking to new clients and families who are interested in services through Home Instead Senior Care. With 10 years of experience at Home Instead, as well as many years of personal experience as a family caregiver for her grandmother, Annette is an excellent resource for our new families. She is able to answer the many questions families have when trying to arrange care for a loved one and truly understands the challenges families face.

The most rewarding part of her job is being able to guide our new families through the entire process and witness first hand how a Home Instead CAREGiver can make a difference in the life of a senior. Annette lives in Livonia with her husband and two children.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, watching sports and spending time with her new puppy.


Stephanie Harwood - Operations Manager

Stephanie Harwood - Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager Stephanie's role is to oversee daily operations. Stephanie manages the scheduling department and ensures the satisfaction of our clients and CAREGivers. Stephanie has been with Home Instead Senior Care for 4 years.

The most rewarding part of Stephanie's job is when her and her team get the perfect match of CAREGiver to client, she says "It's like a puzzle and I love puzzles". Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family; she has 2 daughters.

LeeAnn Loveland - Recruitment & Retention Coordinator

LeeAnn Loveland - Recruitment & Retention Coordinator

​LeeAnn began working at the Livonia Home Instead Senior Care office in April of 2005 as the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator. Throughout the years LeeAnn has served in several different areas of the business always with the focus on CAREGivers. Currently LeeAnn is the Human Resource Supervisor and takes pride in loving on the the CAREGivers and assuring they have a wonderful work environment.

LeeAnn lives in Garden City, along with her youngest child of 5 and her grandson. She has 7 grandchildren and one great grandchild. LeeAnn spends most of her free time at the baseball field where her grandson plays on a travel team. Her hope is to one day write a book about her experience caring for a grandfather and her mother who both suffered with Dementia, in hopes of helping others.


Sue Mize - Home Care Consultant

Sue Mize - Home Care Consultant

As a Home Care Consultant, Sue does outreach in the community to Physicians, Social Workers, Discharge Planners, Hospitals and Rehabilitation Facilities. 

Sue has 40 years experience in Senior care, consultation, and advocacy. She has served two terms on the Board of Directors with the Geriatric Social Workers of South Eastern Michigan, and has been on several Advisory Committees with Area Agency on Aging organizations in Michigan's tri-county areas. Sue lives in Redford Twp. with Her Husband, and enjoys organizing family functions, reading, swimming and traveling.


Bonnie Doone - Client Care Coordinator

Bonnie Doone - Client Care Coordinator

​Bonnie came to Home Instead Senior Care in November of 2016.  She is a certified patient care technician with 8 years of home care experience. Bonnie started as a CAREgiver and joined the office staff in June 2017 as Client Care Coordinator. As Client Care Coordinator she is responsible for a variety of duties relating to our client's care,  including care consultations with potential clients and family members, client/CAREgiver introductions and quality assurance visits with existing clients. Her experience in the field makes her a perfect fit for introducing new CAREGivers to families to assure our CAREGiver understand the plan of care and duties needed for proper care.  Bonnie has a passion for serving people and our community and it shines bright when she visits with our clients.


Anna Fortuna - Biller

Anna Fortuna - Biller

​Home Instead Senior Care is blessed with Anna Fortuna as our biller who has been working here since 2009. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Policy Studies and has always found the health industry interesting and fulfilling. Working for Home Instead has taught her so much about seniors and the challenges they face as they age. Though Anna does not work directly with our seniors in their home, she enjoys helping them with any challenges like billing or long- term health insurance policies. She loves that the Caregivers of Home Instead give seniors the ability to stay at home and assist them with every day needs. Just as important, is the peace it gives families caring for loved ones.  Anna is married and has two sons. She enjoys reading, bowling, spending time with her family and an occasional Pitbull concert :)


Shannon McNamara - Lead Scheduler

Shannon McNamara - Lead Scheduler

​I began my journey with Home Instead Senior Care in May of 2015. I was initially hired in as a CAREGiver, and was moved into our office a few months later. I am now the head of our scheduling department, and it is my job to make sure your loved one's CAREGiver is the perfect fit. Working for Home Instead Senior Care has been such a rewarding experience, and I have been given many opportunities to grow within our company. I love coming to work every day knowing that I am making a positive impact in so many lives. My hopes for the future are that we can continue to improve the quality of life for our seniors and their families.


Anne Cox - Scheduler

​Anne started with Home Instead Senior Care early 2017 as a CAREGiver and quickly moved to join our office staff on the scheduling team.  Anne's vibrant personality shines through whenever she is communicating with our Seniors, their families or our beloved CAREGivers.  Her passion for serving others has been a huge asset to our team and will continue to enhance the lives of everyone she encounters.  She makes it her mission to assure that our seniors are being properly matched with the correct CAREGivers.  Anne lives in Livonia with her husband and 3 kids. Her family is active in the community and in the Livonia Franklin Marching Band. One day her hope is to pursue her dream of becoming a social worker.


Mary Lewis - LPN

Mary Lewis - LPN

Mary has been with Home Instead Senior Care for eight years.  She started out as a CAREGiver and joined the administrative side as an LPN where she trains our new CAREGivers at orientation. Mary is a huge asset to our team as she oversees all the personal care training and specializes in one-on-one Hoyer lift training.  She helps new and existing CAREGivers become familiar and comfortable with all personal care we provide our seniors in their homes.

Mary loves her job and describes it as, "Home Instead Senior Care has so much compassion, love and so many opportunities to grow. Home Instead is truly a home away from home, and I love every minute of it. I wouldn't change the staff, caregivers nor the clients for the world. Everyone is awesome, team players and lovable people! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the family and being so welcoming, Seth and Hannah." 

Mary is a bright light in our office and serves an important role to our CAREGivers by supporting them and offering continuous training to assure they are the experts in our community.


Abby Miah - Scheduler

Abby Miah - Scheduler

Abby has always had a passion for caring for people. Starting off as a CAREGiver with Home Instead Senior Care, Abby was awarded CAREGiver of the month for providing excellent care towards her clients. She was then promoted into the office team. Providing quality care to seniors has always held a special place in her heart. To follow in the footsteps of her beloved mother who was also a caretaker, brings much fulfilment and delight. Abby is currently a student studying in the Nursing Program at Henry Ford College-Dearborn. Abby 's role with the Home Instead team includes scheduling for clients and supervising the weekend schedule.


Mary Kate Young - Scheduler

Mary Kate Young - Scheduler

Mary-Kate's journey with Home Instead Senior Care started in March of 2014. She started out as a caregiver and worked in the field for over three years before moving into the office. Mary-Kate is on the scheduling team and in charge of answering the phones and making sure our caregivers are the right fit for each senior.

She enjoys coming to work each day knowing that she is enhancing the lives of the seniors and their families in our community.
