Facebook_Logo.jpgThe Home Instead Senior Care network provides essential healthcare services to seniors, the most vulnerable population impacted by COVID-19.  At a time when medical teams are overwhelmed, home care serves as an extension of the healthcare system and can help keep seniors safe and healthy at home, reducing hospitalizations.

Our first priority is the safety of our clients and CAREGivers. We also honor specific directives issued by national, state, provincial, and local health authorities in the communities we serve. When caring for clients with COVID-19, we ensure the following safety precautions are in place to keep our CAREGivers and clients safe:

Our CAREGivers are provided personal protective equipment (PPE) and receive training on the use of PPE.

Our CAREGivers are appropriately trained on infection control practices such as handwashing and infectious diseases.

If we are unable to meet these safety precautions, we partner with home health companies and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care for our clients.

Across the globe, we have become a network of front-line responders who are helping combat the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout our history, our CAREGivers have cared for clients with serious infectious illnesses, such as HIV, MRSA and the flu.  We will continue that approach in the face of this pandemic, while always prioritizing the safety of our clients and CAREGivers.

Be well.
