Home Instead, Inc. also recognizes regional CAREGivers of the Year and one special CAREGiver who shows exceptional dedication is the recipient of the national award — The Mary Steibel CAREGiverSM of the Year Award. We reward our local CAREGivers with CAREGiver of the Quarter and CAREGiver of the Year awards to show our appreciation for all they do.

This program inspires CAREGivers to strive for excellence. It creates a sense of pride and rewards their hard work, compassionate care and service to others.

Rebecca T. - 2020 Q2 CAREGiver of the Quarter

​After the unforgettable visit with her aunt, Rebecca vowed to learn how to help others by acquiring the necessary skills. Rebecca thought, "If I had been trained, I would have been able to help her more than I did." Following through as she always has, the determined Rebecca went to school in September 2018 in California to become a Home Health Aide and then a CNA. She became licensed in both disciplines by December 2018, starting with her HHA accreditation. In September 2019, Rebecca joined Home Instead Senior Care® of New Braunfels. Further, the client’s front door was locked, and there was no response to doorbell ringing or knocks. “We get to know the clients’ routines, and it was strange she did not meet me, so I knew something was up. When I went to the back of the house and looked through a window, I noticed her bed was not made and I did not see her. I called the office, and they called her son-in-law,” Novie explained.
