Home Care for Seniors

Home Instead Senior Care® of Blanco, Caldwell, Comal, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Kendall, Hays and Wilson counties in the Texas Hills Country​ ​​is part of the Home Instead Senior Care network, the world's largest provider of non-medical in-home care services for seniors, with more than 900 independently owned and operated franchises throughout the country. The New Braunfels location serves the entire New Braunfels area, including Comal, Guadalupe, Caldwell, Wilson, Bastrop, Bexar and Hays Counties and the communities of Seguin, Canyon Lake, San Marcos, Schertz, Selma, Universal City, Bulverde, Spring Branch, Dale, Fentress, Luling and more. The Home Instead Senior Care network provides basic support services – activities of daily living (ADLs), personal care, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, incidental transportation and shopping – which enable seniors to live safely and comfortably in their own homes for as long as possible. At Home Instead Senior Care, we provide superior quality service that enhances the lives of seniors in the entire New Braunfels area.

About Our Owner

Jean-Marc G. Mira, JD, CSA, is the​ President of JMGM Enterprises LLC d/b/a Home Instead Senior Care.  In this capacity he is responsible for ensuring that the company maintains and follows its primary mission which is to provide affordable non-medical companionship and in-home care services to seniors which allows them to remain living independently in their own homes for a longer period of time.  Mr. Mira also is responsible for making sure that the company maintains the highest standards of care for all its clients and follows strict guidelines and regulations under its Home & Community Support Services License issued by the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services.

Prior to joining Home Instead Senior Care, Mr. Mira practiced law for approximately seven years in Houston, Texas and during this time worked for the law firm of O'Quinn, Kerensky, McInach & Laminack and Exxon Company, USA. Mr. Mira mainly worked on toxic tort cases and environmental insurance litigation during this time.  In 2001, Mr. Mira accepted the position of Vice President of Client Relations for the temporary legal recruiting firm Ad Hoc Legal Resources where he stayed for under one year before deciding in 2002 to start his Home Instead Senior Care business where he has been working ever since.

Mr. Mira was born in France, lived five years in West Africa and five years in England before moving to the United States in 1975 when he was ten years old.  He grew up and went to elementary, middle and high school in San Antonio, Texas and then attended the University of Texas at Austin. Mr. Mira graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988 with a liberal arts degree in political science.  Mr. Mira pursued the study of law and in 1992, he graduated from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio with a Juris Doctor degree in law.  In 1993 he passed the Texas Bar Exam and obtained his license to practice law in Texas.  On June, 2010, Mr. Mira obtained his certification as a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA).
