Brittany has been with Home Instead Senior Care since 2015. She is the bright, smiling face greeting everyone who enters the office, and her contributions keep us running efficiently. Previously, Brittany worked to help the underprivileged attain housing in Lake County. She loves meeting and helping new people, so Home Instead is the perfect fit. Brittany is also raising a family of her own, and she enjoys going out dancing, fashion, and watching movies in her spare time.
Courtney joined Home Instead in 2019. She began her career in 2009 as a CNA and grew a love for caring for the elderly and others. She has previously worked in nursing homes, assisted livings, memory care and hospice as a CNA and Business Office Manager. Courtney's passion is working with clients with Alzheimer's and Dementia. She has volunteered on the Lake County Walk to End Alzheimer's Committee since 2016. She enjoys spending time with her family and puppy, hockey, baseball and going for a run or walk.
Amy joined Home Instead in 2019 as a Client Care Coordinator. She began her career as an occupational therapist and has worked in schools, hospitals, independent living communities, assisted living communities, home health, and memory care. Amy is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and has a passion for working with life-experienced individuals, particularly persons living with dementia. She is humbled by the opportunity to help others live life to the fullest.
Amy lives in Glenview with her husband and three daughters. They enjoy spending time outside and have a family hobby of making their own ice cream.
Gemma has been with Home Instead since 2016, having previously worked with Alzheimer's patients for 11 years. She is currently working toward a bachelor's degree in nursing. Through the years she has worked as a caregiver, CNA, QA nurse, and LPN. With her job experience, wit, and work ethic, there isn't a problem Gemma cannot find a solution to.
Gemma was born and raised in the Philippines, but now lives in Skokie. She earned her B.S. in hotel and restaurant management. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and TV with her sons Shun and Kellie. She loves bowling, traveling, and scuba diving.
Pam came to Home Instead in 2015 as a CAREGiver, then joined the office staff the very next year. She wears many hats as both the owners' personal assistant and executive assistant to the office, and works very hard to keep both CAREGiver and client documentation complete. Pam has a bachelor's degree in psychology and business and has always worked with adolescents and seniors. Previously, she was a business owner for 24 years and an administrative assistant for 10 years. Her most current caregiving role is for her mother. She enjoys listening to the wisdom and experiences of seniors while helping them remain active and independent. Pam enjoys cooking, gardening, walks with her dog, and time with family and friends.
After earning his CNA license, Ryan joined Home Instead Senior Care in 2001 as a CAREGiver. In 2004 he joined our office staff, and has since become a steadfast presence on the client care team. He is passionate about caring for the elderly, and finds working with both seniors and their CAREGivers to be its own reward.
Ryan has called many places home throughout the years, but now happily resides in Libertyville. He enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and 3 children.
Emma has been with Home Instead since 2015. Although her primary role is staffing coordinator, she also devotes much of her time to the client care department. Emma's caregiving journey started over 10 years ago as a CNA in both facilities and home settings. Making a difference in people's lives has always been her passion, so when Emma relocated to Illinois she brought the culmination of her experience to our Home Instead team. Emma was raised in Romania, but considers both Illinois and Home Instead Senior Care her second homes. She enjoys spending quality time with her daughter and "cooking up a storm."
Kathy has been with Home Instead for over six years. She became a CNA over ten years ago after caring for an elderly family member and realizing her passion for senior care. She worked briefly in a senior residential facility, but soon realized she preferred one-on-one care. She started out as a CAREGiver at Home Instead and quickly expanded her role to training coordinator and then client care coordinator. Kathy believes CAREGivers can make all the difference in keeping a senior in their home and works daily to keep our clients safe and well cared for through age-friendly modifications and updated care plans and goals. She has lived in Arlington Heights for over 20 years and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Alexandra (Alex) started her passion for caring for people as a nanny. After a few years, Alex shifted her focus to the elderly community and became a caregiver at an assisted living home. In 2011, Alex joined the Home Instead Senior Care staffing team and has since been promoted to office manager. In addition to managing the office, Alex divides her time between the staffing department and accounting. Her goals are to hire the best CAREGivers for our clients. While hiring CAREGivers, Alex focuses on what the owners taught her: hire CAREGivers you would want to take care of your family.
Through her years at Home Instead Senior Care, Alex has learned to be a better and stronger advocate for her grandmother and visits her in Ohio frequently. Alex lives in Arlington Heights with her family. In her free time, Alex enjoys traveling, and trying new recipes and restaurants.
Karen joined Home Instead in 2019 as a client care coordinator. She started her career as an LPN working in acute care for many years. After caring for her aging parents, she developed a love for senior care and advocacy. Karen moved on to work in long term care, not only taking care of her patients, but learning to advocate for them as well. As her children were growing, she decided it was time to return to school herself and she became a registered nurse. After completing school, she worked in the home care, assisted living, and memory care fields. She enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and gardening.
Annie has been with Home Instead since 2018. She has been part of the medical profession for over 30 years and has her bachelor's degree in nursing. Annie has firsthand experience as a caregiver for her 84-year-old mother with Alzheimer's disease and a son with congenital muscular dystrophy. She understands the immense task relatives face when caring for family members with special challenges and finds it a privilege to coordinate care allowing seniors to remain at home.
Annie is the proud mother of Alaina and Tommy, the joys of her life. She also spends many hours refurbishing furniture and thrifting.
