We are pleased to re-start our CAREGiver of the Quarter process. This is where we honor a special Home Instead CAREGiver and publicly thank them for their contributions to Home Instead Senior Care clients.
It is our privilege to acknowledge for this quarter CAREGiver Val S.  Val joined Home Instead Senior Care in September 2013.    During that time, she has worked more than 2700 hours.
Prior to moving to Prescott, Val worked for two years for a Home Instead franchise in  Illinois.  When I contacted them for a reference, their response was, “Hire her, she’s a rock star!”
When asked recently what “gifts” she receives from being a Home Instead CAREGiver, Val’s response was, “Being a CAREGiver has become a joyful time in my life.  Sharing their memories, their current struggles and the affection and appreciation they give me is a priceless gift to my own future memories.  I hope that I am giving as much to them as they are to me.”
This mindset epitomizes what we appreciate in our CAREGivers!  If you are wondering what our criteria is for selecting CAREGiver of the Quarter candidates, it includes:
 Reliability
 Good schedule availability
 Responding quickly when messages are left
 Saying Yes! to shifts as often as possible
 The ability to connect well with a wide variety of clients
 A mature, “can do” attitude with minimal coaching needed
 A commitment to continuous learning to improve skills
A big thank you to every one of you that choose to get up with a smile each day, committed to making a senior’s life a little brighter.  You are all “rock stars” in our eyes!
